3rd POV

Two days before being kidnapped by Hera

Ten months ago  (Fourteen years old)

Percy looked at Annabeth. Her friend was talking to Chiron in a hushed voice while glancing at Percy.

She didn't like it. Something felt wrong. Very Wrong. While eating the rest of her lunch Percy waited for her friend to come join her.

"Hey, Wise Girl!" Percy called out.

Annabeth smiled. "Hey seaweed brain."

"Is something wrong?" Percy asked tilting her head towards where Chiron sat.

"No, everything's fine," Annabeth reassured.

Lies.

Percy smiled. She waved as her friend walked away.

Percy couldn't help but feel doubtful. Something about that smile screamed worry and guilt.

Deciding that she would worry about it later, Percy finished her food and returned to the cabins.

Percy lay on her bed as she drew a picture of the little fish from her fish bowl.

"Yeah, finding Nemo doesn't make sense does it?"

"Not at all! Every time I hear about it my little fish-brain hurts. And don't get me started on the little Mermaid!" The fish ranted.

"Tell me about it! The little mermaid is so inaccurate it's shameful!" Percy agreed.

Percy heard a knock on her door. Quickly closing her notebook Percy told her fish named John that they could continue talking later. Standing up Percy walked over to her door. Sliding the lock open Percy was happy to see her friend.

Annabeth walked in, pushing past Percy. Walking to the bed she sat down.

Percy looked at her friend.

Something is wrong. She's tense. Percy thought.

"It's dinner time," Annabeth said slicing through the awkward silence. Percy glanced up at her clock.

"Oh, I guess you're right," Percy said.

Walking over to her door she walked out. Peeking her head back in Percy stared at her friend.

"You coming?" Percy asked.

Annabeth looked at her startled.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry, just got lost in thought there." Annabeth said.

Percy nodded, that was an often occurrence for her friend.

"Let's get going," Percy said and walked away.

Annabeth looked back to the photo she had been staring at.

Percy and her mom, smiling at each other as Percy was flicking blue cookie batter at her mother.

Standing up she walked out the door. Making sure to seal it shut she ran after her friend.

Ten years ago (Four Years Old)

Percy was watching the TV when the doorbell rang.

She watched as her mom opened the door and smiled.

As her mom moved over to the side in stepped a fat balding man, the strong smell of alcohol and cigarettes. His face looked agreeable, a happy smile on his face. It looked like he put an effort as he was wearing a button-down shirt and some slacks.
