Kagami woke up to the sunlight from the blazing sun hitting her eyes. Her eyes slowly blinked open as she sighed in annoyance. Her silky pink nightgown was just two comfortable for her. She yawned wearily and rubbed her eyes as a flood of memories from yesterday washed through her head like waves.
Her heartbeat increased rapidly at that. Despite her tired state, she rapidly turned her head to check if her husband was there. Luka looked so peaceful. There was a thin smile on his lips and his fringe covered his eyes messily. He looked so cute. Kagami smiled at that.
She silently got up, now sitting down on the bed. She used her hands to aid her to gingerly get off the bed. Her toes gently touched the carpet as she trudged slowly towards the window. She untied the the pale pink curtains with her delicate hands, make sure no sunlight is entering the room. Now she could finally sleep with Luka. She rubbed her eyes as she walked back towards the bed.
She tenderly sat back on the bed and lay on the bed, making herself comfortable. She turned herself towards her her right where Luka was. She moved herself closer to him and placed her hand on his bare chest. She pushed herself even closer, making sure there was no space in between them. She stared at Luka's face and brushed his hair from his eyes. She caressed his cheeks softly, making sure he doesn't wake up.
"What did I do to deserve you, Luka?" Kagami whispered to herself as her breathing quickened. Insecurities, Kagami's biggest weakness. She started thinking of all the reasons why Luka should leave him. Why did he like her in the first place? She remember their first kiss.
It Luka who confessed to her first. She was afraid to confess. She was so straightforward when confessing to Adrien. But to Luka? She couldn't open her mouth. She felt a barrier blocking her from saying.
She remembered just keeping quiet when her husband confessed to her. She remembered how she kept opening her mouth but not saying anything. She remembered how much she wanted to kiss him. She remembered how much she wanted to say 'I love you.' She remembered how much she wanted to assure him that his feelings were reciprocated.
But she just couldn't. Was it because she was afraid that he would leave him just like Adrien did? Was it because she realised she didn't deserve him? Was it because she knew that there are better people out there for him? Maybe, it was just all these reasons preventing her from opening her mouth.
She remembered seeing Luka smiling sadly at her due to the lack of answer. She wanted to reach out to him but couldn't. She remembered seeing tears running down his soft skin. She remembered wanting to wipe them away. She remembered Luka walking away from her without telling anything.
She remembered crying at that. She remembered how helpless she looked. She remembered weeping at Luka crying. She remembered not wanting to see Luka cry, ever. She remembered running after Luka under the rain.
She remembered grabbing his hands, turning him around abruptly and crying into his chest. She remembered every single moment of that. She remembered the both of them hugging under the cold rain, neither of them caring about anything else other than never leaving each other.
Kagami and Luka hugged for the longest time, tears streaming down their eyes. They looked at each other deep into their eyes. They knew their life depended on each other but Kagami pass out in Luka's hand. Kagami was tired and in that situation, she just wanted to sleep. She just wanted to sleep in Luka's hands. Because she didn't know what else to do at that situation.
Kagami remembered waking up in a familiar place. She remembered sleeping in Luka's bed. She remembered seeing a worried yet smiling Luka infront of her. She remembered Luka asking if she was ok before giving her water. She saw the pain Luka was masking just for her. She remembered how much she wanted to comfort her.
And she remembered comforting him. She remembered kissing him, pain and love pouring into the blissful kiss. After that she remembered spilling everything to Luka. She also remembered Luka comforting her and assuring her that he would never leave. She remembered everything. It was as if all of this happened yesterday.
Kagami continued looking at Luka, smiling sadly. She knew she shouldn't think of thoughts like that. They have been through so much together. So so much. Happiness, pain, sadness, excitement were all part of life but Kagami felt as though Luka reversed better. She should be happy, right?
Her mother is back. She is married. She has great friends. She has everything she need. She felt like she was missing something, herself. Confidence in herself. She stopped caressing Luka's cheeks and hugged him tightly as though he was going to leave her. She snuggled into her husband's bare chest, forgetting that he was sleeping. Tears unknowingly started dripping from her eyes.
Luka felt his chest getting wet as he stirred awake. His eyes fluttered open to see his wife embracing him. As he looked properly, he noticed tears coming from where Kagami's eyes were. Was she crying? Why was she crying? It seems like she didn't know he was awake.
"Kagami?" Luka whispered softly. Kagami squealed, startled. "O-oh. You are awake." Kagami asked, hiding the quiver in her voice. Luka slowly got up, making Kagami get up too. She forgot about the tears stained on her face which Luka immediately saw. He wiped them away, grabbing her chin.
"Kagami, babe. Why are you crying?" Luka cooed softly. Kagami started weeping again, hiccuping. She gripped Luka's sweatpants tightly. "I-I. You will never leave, right Luka? If you will, please let me down slowly, Luka." Kagami whimpered. Luka felt a Pang in his chest. He would never leave her. Never in million years.
Luka took both of Kagami's hands in his and looked deep into her eyes. "I will never leave you ever. Please don't doubt yourself, Kagami. I will never ever leave you. You such a beautiful girl, inside and out. I love you so much. I wouldn't have marry you if I would leave you, right Kagami? Don't worry, Kagami. You are the best person anyone can ever ask for, you know that right. You are so pretty. You are so magical. I will never leave you. You here that. Never," Luka whispered, firmly. Kagami nodded slowly and hesitantly.
Kagami hugged Luka as he wrapped his arm the girl infront of him. Luka knew that this wasn't the end. He also knew that this wasn't the beginning. He knew that they have to face challenges together in the future. He knew that one's insecurities would never just disappear.
So, he vowed to himself that he would never leave her and would always reassure her until he breath his last. He vowed that he will always be with her till death do them apart.
