Life didn't go as I expected. I saw myself going to college right after high school getting my degree in medicine, I just didn't have the motivation anymore for anything. I know people say it's never too late I get that but it's the energy. When I was in high school I wanted everything I had the energy to do it I just wasn't that into it anymore. After pushing college away I got more and more uninterested. Don't get me wrong I love my life right now like I've never been more happier it's just wasn't the path I wanted. One night a packed my bags and left for good. I never turned back I told my mom where I was going and she didn't ask she knew I was on a journey to find myself and I found her.

When I got to California it was really different from back home and Atlanta. Everything was so colorful and I fell in love with it. I didn't know what to do when I got here. So I made a to do list. I went to find a job and the rest is history.

" Sada you're booked for a private ". Angel say smirking at me.

" Again ". I groaned putting on my heels.

Yeah so I'm a stripper. It was the last thing I thought I'll ever be. But the money is so good I make a thousand a night and on a good day about fifteen hundred. When saw that the money was amazing I instantly enrolled in school part time. I got to school during the day and work at night. It sounds like a lot but it's perfect for me. I'm a fresh twenty year old actually doing something for myself. I love it here.

When I got home I flopped on the couch I was so tired thank god I have a three day weekend from school and work. Think I might treat myself to a spa day or just have a lazy day and do some online shopping.

" Is that my beautiful wife ". Tre said.

" Eww shut up ". I say blushing.

I'm so in love with Tre. We met one night when I was dancing and it was a bad night. I was irritated with everything and he took the time to talk to me ask me about myself and it made me feel good. We moved in together about a year ago and it's been the best thing yet.

" Damn it's like that ". He say.

" Yep ". He gave me a kiss and smiled at me.

" I got something for you ". He said.

" Ooh ".

He gave me a little box and it was a necklace that had my birthstone in it.

" Tre ". I say in shock.

" You know I love you and you mean everything to me ". He said kissing me.

" I love you too baby ". I hugged him and he looked at me.

" I want this forever River ". He said.

" And so do I ".

After eating dinner Tre and I was in the room just chilling until he got a phone call.

" What's up....shit next week just let me know....oh nah she coo with it ". He said turning back looking at me.

" Fasho you know I'm down to run a couple of hits ". He said laughing.

He talked a little more and got off the phone and looked at me.

" What's next week ". I asked

" Mind ya business girl ". He said kissing my forehead and going into the bathroom.

" Rude ". I mumbled.

I opened my computer and did some online shopping. It's so therapeutic I can do this all day and not get bored. My phone rung and guess who Jamie ass.

" What's up playa ". I say putting her on speaker.

" Sup handsome ". She say.

" Where's my stink ". I said getting excited.

Jamie had a son two years ago and made me his godmother. I'm taking that roll serious as hell like I birth his ass. That's basically my baby she just a surrogate. A year after I moved here she came and it's just been us taking over Cali with a little help of her son.

" I didn't call you so you can talk to him ". She said rolling her eyes.

" Hmm ". I groaned.

" Anyways I got us ticket to see Bryson Tiller ". She said.

" BITCH WHEN ". I say getting excited.

" Next weekend ".

" I'm down ".

" YOU TOLD ME I SHOULD JUST GO OUT AND DO MY THING ". I say singing.

" DAMN RIGHT ILL DO MY THING ". Jamie sung.

" NOW YOU WANNA KNOW WHATS CHANGE ".

" That's literally my shit ". I say getting exited.

" So where is it ". I asked.

" I tried to book it here but all sold out but I got us tickets in Atlanta so we'll literally only be there for the weekend ". She say.

" Cool cool I'm down ". I say.

I'm excited as hell to see Bryson Tiller. I swear his music make me feel like I been through the worst break up ever and I cant recover from it. And that's the best kind of music.

" But I'll let you know more details later ". She say.

" Ok ".

She hung up and Tre came out the bathroom shaking his head.

" Why y'all got to do all that ". He said.

" Boy I don't say shit when you and your friends on the game loud as hell ". I say rolling my eyes. He went into his closet and pulled out a duffel bag.

" Tryna bag some weed ". He say throwing the weed on the bed.

" Don't you have people for that ". I say.

" Yeah but this is last minute and I gotta go get some stuff ready ".

" For ". I asked taking the weed out the bag.

" Mind ya business baby ". I chuckled.

Never got the concept of Tre selling drug he comes from a good family and he decided to choose this path. He's extremely smart like his math is on point.
