My usual morning starts with waking up at 7:00 am, having my coffee, making my bed, brushing my teeth, and combing my brown curly hair before hitting the shower. I  peered at my expression in the bathroom mirror as I was taking off my nightshirt and pants. Not until I got my glasses on. My face in the mirror was nothing but a big blur. I hopped in the shower to get ready for the day.

Before heading to the office, I stopped at the coffee shop nearby. 'Love the Coffee' is what it's called. There was a lady in there, with red curly hair, and round glasses. The type you see on librarians. She was the co-owner of the shop. Going in, I breathed a heavy sigh, annoyed with the line in front of me. Eight people before me, looking down at my watch. Needing to head to work, I don't do well with being late. Prefer being on time. I  peered over at Zoey the co-owner. For a slight moment, she caught me staring, which made me look away. Don't want to appear rude. Not to mention I have no experience when it comes to women. That's another thing others find boring. I'm married to my job anyways. Faithful as they come. My computer is my wife's. The printer is our child. But now and then, something else stirs inside me. Such as Zoey. An attractive lady with curly red hair, and round glasses.

Her brown eyes looked in my direction as I got ready to order, "And what can I get you today sir?"  she wondered, knowing I like coming in here most every morning before work. There is something about this coffee, that makes up for the one in the office.

"I will have my usual please?" I said expressionless, but a very deep-down part of me feels nervous.

"Very well, I will write  your name on the cup, same size?" I nodded in reply, sliding my credit card into the machine and not wanting a receipt. They just pile up in my pants pockets if I do.

Work starts in 10 minutes, and I just made time for the elevator. A girl walked in after me as I pressed the button.

"Hi, I'm new here, " she smiled, I nodded in a reply, "I am Barbara,  what is your name?" she had blonde hair in a ponytail, with shiny blue eyes staring over at me.

"Just call me Mr. Muller," I said simply, not caring the least if she is new.

Mr. Moore, my boss walked over to me while scratching his dark-colored mustache. Doesn't fit his appearance at all, being light skin. Knowing that he is a fan of dying his mustache is black, but I chose to ignore it every time he comes to see me. "Hey there Mr. Muller?" he looked over my cubicle, "how  was your night?"

I shrugged, "It was alright," I said back, "now tell me, the reason why your here?"

"Well, for one thing, I  wanted to say hi to my favorite salesperson in this company. And because  of you being such a good employee, I want you to take someone under  your wing."

I looked up at him as if  he had three heads, "Mr. Moore, you hired me to sell, not babysit. I  have several clients today; I am a very busy man."

"Come on, do this for me as a favor of your boss?"

It took my boss, several tries to get me to take the most annoying person on the planet under  my wing. What got me is, he will pay for it, and I can take the company car. Barbara smiled at me, in the passenger seat. I ignored it, keeping my eyes on the road.

"Where are we going to go?" she wondered, in a happy tone, gosh I hate that type of tone.

"A small local business."

She nodded back, before looking back out the window, "You are an interesting character aren't you?"

"As good as it gets there," I gave a small sigh. Not wanting to deal with this, first thing at work.
