Reunion Part 2 (Season 1)

Akari runs up to me and hugs me with some pretty good strength.

Akari: Hey (y/n)!

(y/n): Hey.

I say this with a hint of disappointment in my voice.

'Of course, the last people I wanna run into, and I run into them as I'm trying to just be on my way.'

I look up to see the rest of the her friends approach.

'Good to see the clubs still together I guess.'

(y/n): Wassup.

Kazuki: Dude, where ya been?

(y/n): Huh? What are you talking about?

Akari: Ya kinda just left us hanging and disappeared out of nowhere.

'Huh, so they did notice. Guess I should've raised my expectations of them.'

Tengge: Yeah, we tried to call you but we couldn't reach you in any way.

Kazuki: Yeah, what happened man?

(y/n): Yeah, stuff happened back at my old school. I couldn't renew my contract to stay here.

Akari: We just really wish you would've at least said goodbye.

(y/n): Trust me, if I coulda, I woulda.

'No, no I wouldn't have.'

Akari: Anyway, what are you doing back here?

(y/n): Uh-

'I don't have an excuse prepared! Quick, brain, THINK OF SOMETHING!'

(y/n): Im uh, Im, in school.

Tengge: Oh, your studying abroad then.

(y/n): Yeah, yeah thats it. Anyway, this has been a nice reunion but, I gotta go.

Akari: Oh, wait a second.

(y/n): Yeah?

Akari: We were actually about to head in and apply to work for Obunbi. You wanna come to?

She asks me this with her signature warm smile.

(y/n): Isn't this place purely ninja business?

Tengge then steps up to speak.

Tengge: Well yes, however, I believe that we could find something for you to do.

'Find something for me to do? Is she serious? After everything I've been through since joining N.E.S.T.? Is she crazy?'

(y/n): Yeah, I'll think about it.

I go to walk to my car as they begin walking into the building, I begin to think.

'Then again, there's a lot of mystery to this city. And if Megatron is planning something, there's no telling how far he'd go to get what he wants to complete his plans. And of course, it'd be really difficult to navigate this city without the proper knowledge. Joining a ninja organization could make that obstacle disappear easily.'

I call out to them just before they walk through the entrance.

(y/n): Hey! You said that they could find me something right?

Tengge: You've changed your mind?

(y/n): Yeah, I could afford hold down a job right now.

Tengge: Excellent, come on in then.

I follow them inside. Walking in, we run into Enju, who seems to be rocking a longer hair style than in high school.

'Looks as stupid as she did in high school.'
