Chapter 2

"Don't stay up too late. You have school tomorrow. We don't need walking corpses around the house." My mom called.

"Don't go out after eight" my dad calls

"We won't trust me ill keep a good eye on Rae. She won't be doing any funny business around here." I chuckled. Last time I babysat Rae she ran away to play at her friends house.

"I know I trust that you'll do a better job babysitting Rae." Mom kisses me and Rae on the cheek and she goes out the door, closing it behind her.

I go to the kitchen to grab a slice of leftover pizza and pop it in the microwave.

"Rae dinners ready come down here before the pizza gets cold."

"Quite the dinner you made" she says as she plops down on the barstool.

"Shut the fuck up you lucky that I even heated it up for you" I head over and drop on the couch getting comfy for the marathon of movies on Netflix that I was about to have. After a few minutes into the movie my phone vibrates.

Hey come over I'm bored af. Need some company other than my annoying brother -Cora

A groan escaped my lips as I quickly texted back.

Sorry I'm babysitting Rae. Wish I could though. - All

Seconds later Cora texts back.

Dammit Zach is annoying the shit out of me. If you don't save me I am going to explode.

I laugh. I scroll through my contacts until I reach Zach's

Stop being so fucking annoying. Your going to kill your sister.-All

My weird and awkward friends. I hear a rather harsh knocking on the door. I go to the door and when I open it no one was there.

"Son of a bitch, why the fuck would you want to ding-dong ditch us" I close the door and throw myself on the couch. After a minute or so Rae comes down the stairs.

"Who was the fuck was that"

"No one just some idiot that left. Why were you expecting Dylan to come and make out with you." I smirk curls on my face

"Shut the fuck up I was just asking who that was. By the way Dylan is already taken." She yells

"Not my fault, middle schoolers and their complicated relationships. Don't worry in high school it's worse" I turn off the t.v. and get ready to go to bed. I am about t to lay down when I hear Rae come into my room.

"Sorry 'bout that I was just thinking about him and I was just mad. I didn't mean to be a bitch to you. I got all worked up about Dylan that I've been a bitch today. "

"Its all right relationships are complecated. Trust me I go through that shit every single day. I know what it's like. All you have to do is just ignore it and move on, cause there's not much you can do to change his mind." We slowly embrace each other in a hug.

"Thanks, I kind of needed that." She slowly walks out of my room. I lay down and try to sleep of the events of the day to face the new ones of tomorrow.

I wake up to my phone vibrating on my nightstand. I grab it to see in the right mind had the guts to text me so early in the morning.

Pick you up for school? Zach already left and I don't want to ride alone. Call when you're ready to leave.- Cora

I go to the bathroom and change before I text her back. I had no idea why Core would drive me to school and why Zach left without Cora. Once I change into a light blue shirt sleeve button-up shirt with my white jeans and blue converse, I text Cora back to pick me up in ten.

I grab my keys and phone and go out of the house to get breakfast.

After wards Cora comes by and picks me up to go to school.

"Hey what's up"

"Hey I was just wondering why you aren't going to school with Zach. You never rude to school with me."

"Well I don't know why Zach left so early so I texted you to come with me." We were silent the rest of the way. Both of us not really knowing what to say. It was a relief when we got there. Almost no one was at school yet. Once we go in we regret it once we do. We see Brittany Murphy walking down the hallway towards us.

"Cora, what's up with you brother he didn't even say hi to me-"

"You know what I don't need your shit where is he"Brittany twirled her hair her hair around her freshly manicured nails.

"Last time I've seen him he went towards the locker room"

We take off to find Zach when we found him we didn't like what we saw.
