Trigger Warning: This chapter contains very heavy mature themes, such as sexual assault and implied rape based on what is implied to have happened to Sam while he was in Lucifer's cage.
I want to do what the writers were unwilling to do and address Sam's trauma, which is gonna lead to some uncomfortable places. I'm not gonna go too much into detail but I understand if it's still something that hard to read about. Feel free to scroll pass it when it comes up. Don't worry, you'll know when you see it.
Sam was running from the cops. Why? He didn't know, all he knows is that he couldn't get caught by them. There were sirens and a police car comes around the corner. So, Sam runs to a door and tries to open it but it's locked.
He kicks a gate open and hides behind a wall as the police car slowly drives past a Castle Storage sign... John Winchester's lock-up, which Sam doesn't notice.
When it's gone, he quickly walks to a door labelled: Delivery Entrance Only. He enters and closes the door behind him. He finds himself in a bar with a young woman, Robin, who is cleaning the countertop of the bar. "Hey, we're closed."
"Just uh, just give me a second." Sam said, going to the window. "Sorry pal, we... we open at noon." Robin said. "Look, you don't understand." Sam said. Outside, the cop car passes again and Sam moves away from the window.
"Okay, I... I think I understand just fine. Look I... I don't need this kind of hassle. So seriously, just get the hell out." Robin said, fearing for the worse outcome in this situation. "Please. Please, just give me a minute to think, that's all. Then I'm out of your hair." Sam pleaded.
Under the counter, Robin picks up a baseball bat. "One minute. Please." Sam begged and Robin sighs, putting the bat down. "What's your name?" She asked and Sam stares at her with big puppy-dog eyes. "I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?" Robin asked. "I mean I don't remember. I don't remember anything." Sam said, looking lost and confused.
Robin opens a drink and gives it to Sam, who sits down at the bar. "Come on, you're dickin' with me. Nothing?" She asked. "I'm telling you. Blank slate." Sam said and drinks. "Well, you got a wallet? ID?" Robin asked.
"I wish I did." Sam muttered. "Okay, well what's the last thing you remember?" Robin asked and Sam shakes his head. "Um, I woke up on a park bench, cops shoving a flashlight in my face, trying to take me in."
"So you ran." Robin said, raising an eyebrow. "No, I, um, I knocked 'em out cold. Both of 'em. No, look, I... I didn't mean to. It just happened really fast, you know I... I think instinct or something, I guess." Sam said. "Some instinct." Robin remarked.
"Yeah, tell me about it. I mean, who even knows how to do something like that?" Sam asked. "We'll get you to the ER. The... the quacks will hash it out." Robin said. "No." Sam said.
"Try yeah. Look the-the bats have flown the belfry, you need to see a doctor." Robin said. "No." Sam said and gets up from his stool. "I don't have time." He said. "Time for what?" Robin asked and Sam sighs.
"Look, it's hard to explain, I just feel like I-I have to be somewhere. There's something I gotta stop." He said, sounding unsure but in a strange way, still confident that was what he needed to do. "Oh, like a wedding? A train?" Robin asked.
"No, something important. Something like life or death, like..." Sam said. "Okay, hey, hey, hey. Just relax, you know, you... you can't poop it out, so just... It'll come to you." Robin said and he nods, seeing no reason to refuse the help.
