Everyone has heard the stories of what the two young girls have been through, the tales of their lives. It didnt matter whether you were visiting or just passing through, you were sure to hear the names Cassia and Samara Ryder. The attention didn't bother the twins, they had grown numb to it all, become used to being stared at or to hear the whispers follow them wherever they went, It was something they had learnt to live with. But that didn't mean it still didn't trouble them at times, especially when people had started to give them certain reputations - forcing them to wear titles on their heads like crowns, giving them false rolls to play in the story of their lives.
Cassia Ryder, the problematic half of the Ryder twins, known to be trouble. Or at least that was what her reputation said. Everyone knew her as nothing but bad news, she was the damaged one, the reckless girl who doesn't have a care in the world, not anymore at least. That couldn't have been further from the truth. The people who knew Cassia knew that she was just misunderstood - complicated. She had been through so much and she didn't know how to cope, and so she used her reputation as a shield to protect herself - a mask to hide who she really was. She wasn't a bad person, not in the eyes of her friends - her family, and certainly not in the eyes of Lydia Martin.
Lydia Martin was another complicated person, a snarky strawberry blonde who is secretly a kind hearted genius hidden away by the stereotypes of high school. She had everyone fooled into believing her mean girl act, to everyone that's all they seen - a selfish and shallow bitch, and not many people could see otherwise. Except Cassia Ryder, her bestfriend and the girl she was secretly in love with. Though she could never say it out loud, nor admit it to anyone - not even herself, Cassia was her true love, her dream. But dreams don't always come true.
Samara Ryder, the sweetheart with a heart of gold, the girl who could do no wrong. That was what her reputation said, and though it was once true, she didn't see herself that way anymore. Instead of being the perfect girl she made herself out to be, she now only had her flaws, to put it shortly; she was a mess - a girl falling apart at the seams with no idea on how to put herself back together again. She was lost, unsure on who she was and alone on the dark journey of self discovery. Good thing she had Stiles Stilinski to be her light in the dark.
Stiles Stilinski, a smart, sarcastic and spastic kid who was also a mess. He was chaotic, to say the least, but so was everyone else in one way or another. Stiles was a detective, someone who liked to fix things, put together pieces of puzzles - solve mysteries. To him Samara Ryder was one of the biggest mysteries he had ever seen - a puzzle, someone who needed help putting herself back together, and he was more than willing to help her - the girl he had been falling for ever since they were children. They were practically childhood sweethearts, some would say. But the thing about childhood is it always gets left behind - forgotten, as you get older. Stiles could only hope that it would be different for them, because after all they weren't really together. Not yet at least.
