"We're seriously doing this?" Scott asks, trailing behind Cassia and Stiles who rush ahead of the group, eager to find the other half of the body while he and Samara remain more hesitant, entering the preserve slowly.

"Yeah, obviously." Cassia furrows her eyebrows, looking over her shoulder at him. "We're here, aren't we."

"Well, yeah." He shrugs. "But i thought you guys would've changed your minds by now."

"And by that i think he means that you would open your eyes and realize how immensely idiotic this is of us." Samara expresses through a series of frustrated mumbles, keeping her anger to herself for the most part.

Cassia laughs, turning to her twin with a grin. "Haven't you learnt by now? Doing idiotic activities is kind of our thing, in case you haven't noticed." She says, gesturing to their surroundings, the cold and dark preserve filled with a fog that gives it an eerie vibe, so much so that If you didn't know about the half of a dead body and a potential murder lurking around the woods, one look inside would still be enough to make you keep your distance.

It truly looked like a set straight out of a horror movie. One they might have found themselves willingly walking in to.

"Trust me, I've noticed." Samara huffs, wrapping her arms around herself in search of warmth. She really underestimated the January weather and her jean jacket wasn't doing as much as she hoped it would when she threw it on before being dragged out of the house by Cassia and Stiles.

"Are you cold?" Scott asks the blonde, the girl simply nodding as she concentrates on dodging branches and not tripping on any of the tree roots that stick out of the ground. "See? Mara's cold, we should just go home."

"Here." Cassia rolls her eyes, shrugging off her leather jacket and tossing it to her twin.

"See? It's fine." Stiles shrugs off his bestfriend.

"I still think we should go back."

"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles points out.

"I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow." He defends.

"Right." The Stilinski boy scoffs. "'Cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort."

"No, because I'm playing this year." Scott insists confidently, the twins sharing a look.

They loved their brother and they believed in him, most of the time. They wanted this to be one of those times, but they knew that would be unrealistic. Scott sucked at lacrosse. They knew that, Stiles knew that, even Scott himself knew that. It wasn't entirely his fault, his asthma played a large roll in his lack of athleticism, limiting his abilities, and so they just prayed he wouldn't get his hopes up too high, that way he won't feel disappointed in himself or like he had failed if he didn't make first line. He didn't deserve to feel like that about himself, Scott deserved better than that, and that was something Cassia and Samara truly did believe in.
