"Keren over here!" Mary yelled out, waving her arms around.
I started quickening my pace, almost running over to her.
I reached the school exit gate and we both start heading home.
"We're gonna stop by Tracey's Bakery." I stated. Obviously it wasn't a question because I already knew Mary's answer. When it comes to food the only thing she'll say is,
"Yes!"
"But you're paying this time." I muttered.
"Hi guys!" Tracey, the owner of the bakery says.
I've been childhood friends with Tracey and I basically grew up with her. She was thinking of becoming a lawyer but it wasn't very easy for her, so she made her own bakery!
"Hi Tracey!"
Mary and I took a seat, looking at the menu.
"Can I have the Among Us waffle?"
"Are you serious Mary? You're not a kid...At your big age." I rolled my eyes.
"Food is food." She replies.
"Then can I get the carrot cake?"
"Of course."
Tracey writes down our orders as she walks away with a wink.
"So Keren,"
Mary starts acting like she's thinking.
"About that flower shop incident..."
Oh boy, I could tell this was not going to be a good suggestion.
"Do you wanna go-"
"No." I replied, not even hesitating.
"Oh come on! You should at least apologise to him!"
I lay my face on my arms, sighing.
"If there's anything in the world I wouldn't do, it would be apologising to a flower shop owner I fought with this morning."
"You fought with a what?"
Tracey interrupts, our dishes in each hand.
"I'm just kidding, I already heard half your conversation so."
I rolled my eyes jokingly.
"I guess I should apologise anyway."
"Yes!!!" Mary shouts out.

We finish our food after about 20 minutes.
"Thx for the food Trace!" Mary puts the money on the counter.
"Sure, come back anytime."
We exit the bakery and start heading towards what I now call hell.
"Maybe this is a bad idea." I suggest.
"No! It's just an apology, come on."
I gulp.
Each step I took closer to the flower shop, my heart increased its beating.
"So..."
"Your time to shine!" Mary opens the door, pushing me in.
I take a deep breath, breathing in the shops familiar scent.
I fake cough, to get the 'special' someone's attention.
"Missed me?"
I clenched my fist. Whoever this man was really knew how to stir someone up.
"Hi."
I wanted to make my apology short and quick.
"So about yesterday.."
He cocks his head to the side. Again with the innocent look. Ugh I hate men.
"I just wanted to say sorry. Okay bye."
"Is that it?"
Is he serious right now?
I turn around, seeing him with his arms crossed.
"Yeah, that's it. Now I'm heading off thanks."
"That was pathetic."
"If you want a fucking apology I'll show you one right no-"
"Oh..hey so are we done here?"
Luckily Mary walks in before I started damaging this stupid flower shop.
"Yeah let's go."
I grabbed Mary's hand, storming out the shop.
"Come again next time!"
I heard the man say. I knew he just said that to test me. And it worked.
"Okay...so..I can tell it wasn't a very good idea."
"You think?"
"Sorry." Mary says.
"It's whatever. Anyway you should head home now."
"Oh okay, I'll see you tomorrow!"
"See ya."
I watch Mary take the bus to her apartment.
Me on the other hand, still had to take these flowers to my grandma's house.
Now just seeing flowers let alone thinking about them makes me really pissed off. I wonder why.Ding dong!
Grandma's door bell rang.
It took a couple minutes for Grandma to get the door but when she opened it, she greeted me with a hug.
"Hi ma."
"Aw hi Keren."
"Mum told me to drop these off for you."
I handed her the flowers, the fragile petals falling off with each movement.
"Thank you hun. You don't wanna come in?"
"Uh no thank you, I got to go home before dinner."
"Alright, thanks again love."
She kisses me on the cheek and waves me goodbye.
