"Miyeong, meet Namjoon. He is your future husband." her mom smiled at the girl.
"What? What are you even talking about?" asked confused Miyeong
"We've discussed about this many times." her dad said.
"And every single time I said that I DID NOT want this marriage, and I'd never want to!" she shouted.
"And I don't care about what you want or not! This decision is the best for everyone, including both of you!" the woman pointed her finger at the young couple.
The boy was silent. It's not like he wasn't against of what their parents decided. Even though he was 13 and the girl, which was supposed to become his wife was 12, he knew, that he wanted to marry a girl of his own choice. Which would love him just as much as he would love her. Which could be happy, and feel free in the marriage, not forced and pressured.
But he didn't argue with them. He knew, that it wouldn't do shit.Miyeong's cheeks were already in tears.
"Oh please, do you think that you'll cry and we will immediantely change our minds? You're wrong. It won't happen." her mom continued as she rolled his eyes after finishing the sentence.
"It's not only that! You don't understand!"
"Well, maybe we'd understand if you spoke normally instead of shouting!" said annoyed mother of Miyeong.
"Alright! I do not think of Namjoon this way! I'm sorry Nam if you get offended, but I think of you as a friend, and no one more." girl spoke to him, standing next to her.
"And I feel the exact same way. Why are we supposed to marry each other, if we don't even love each other?" Nam asked his mom.
"Don't question our decision please."
Miyeong couldn't stand this anymore. She just walked out of the house leaving everybody in the living room.
"Kang Miyeong! Where do you think you're going?!" her mother asked, but didn't get the answer. She sighed deeply. "I'm sorry for her. I don't know why she left."
"It's alright, mrs. Kang. It sure isn't as easy as it seems." mrs. Kim answered with a gentle smile.
The girl was walking down the sidewalk. She didn't even know where she was walking. She just kept going. Finally someone spotted her.
"Miyeong! What happened?"
"Hobi..."
It's all she could say before she started crying again. Her friend was clearly worried.
"Come to me." he opened his arms. Miyeong ran straight to them, as the 13-year old hugged her tightly.
"Lastly you've been having a hard time, haven't you?" asked Hoseok.
"You're right."
"No matter what'll happen next, I'll try to be with you." he started rubbing her back gently. Finally she raised her head, and smiled at the boy, who smiled back. She was happy to have her best friend by her side.
