Blaze walks up the group of women and Annese instant scowls at her."You didn't mention that you knew the Prince."
"Who said I did?"
"Come on, Blaze you want us to believe that you two just met? Please, a blind man could see you two were oddly familiar with each other."
"Look, I was making a first impression just like everybody else here."
"Your impression might have worked on the Prince, but I'm sure shaking the Kings hand didn't go over well." She laughs.
"Actually I didn't shake his hand, I couldn't remember what you said when I got there. But I see that was good thing. Trying to sabotage me is a bit immature don't you think?"
"Ha! It was just a joke. Besides you're the new girl it's only fitting to pull a little prank on you."
"Well your hazing is over."
Annese steps forward leaving very minimal space between her and Blaze.
"It's over when I say it's over. Got it?"
Blaze closes the space in between them looking Annese directly into her eyes.
"No, I don't got it."
The other ladies nervously watch as the two stare each other down.
"Let me make something very clear... I don't care how you and James met or when you met, but if you think you even remotely stand a chance with him you're sadly mistaken. You may of had everyone's attention but I promise you, nobody is going to want you to be their Queen. Everyone here but you, has worked their ass off for the chance to be the Queen. I'm sure you can find yourself a nice commoner here because let's face it, a Prince..." she pauses looking Blaze up and down. "Is way out of your league."
She steps back looking at the other ladies.
"See, Kiara here is from a family a diplomats. She has sat at some of the most highest tables around the world. She's fluently in thirteen different language and knows the history of one hundred and twenty seven different countries."
"Lyric here, is from nothing but Royal decent. Her ancestors were all born into royalty it's in her blood." Annese then turns to Nai'lani. "Even Nai'lani has prepared her entire life for this moment, countless nights of studying and rehearsing. She's been training to be a Royal since she could learn to walk and talk."
"I'm hearing a lot about other people and not about yourself, Annese."
"To be completely unbiased, Annese has the best chance with the Prince." Lyric says. "She grew up with him in the palace, they were childhood friends She first hand, witnessed the ends and outs of his family."
"Thank you, Lyric. So there you have it. Even as kids, people assumed James and I would marry. Seeing as we already knew each other very well and I am the face of one of the five great houses that make a Agramonté what it is. The throne has been my destiny for as long as I can remember and I don't plan on losing my seat to any of you. Especially not an outsider."
Blaze chuckles. "You expect me to believe James would pick someone like you to reign along side him. Okay..."
"And what exactly is that suppose to mean?"
"Yeah, Annese knows how to be charming and professional when she needs to be."
"Okay? Good for her. For a girl that comes from a family of diplomats I can't believe your allowing Annese to walk all over you she just literally said in front of you that you don't stand a chance with James and yet you're still sitting here defending her."
