Chloe is sat on the floor in her bathroom her eyes red and dry from crying so much she looks at her phone at her notification which is a week old my period tracker it's dated a week ago "I've been late before doesn't mean I'm pregnant I can't be" Chloe stands up and looks out it's dark and getting late she decides to get her self in bed and get some rest she has work tomorrow
Chloe wakes up still feeling nausea and she has noticed aches around her breasts she gets in a warm shower to relax and soothe her self and walks downstairs and makes her self a coffee but stops before the first sip she has a moment and think she decides to tip it down the sink and takes her travel cup full of tea in her black bmw it's cold out this time of year and wraps herself up in leggings and a black top and a black fur coat and heads to the Etihad for work she pulls into the car park and she walks in to her office and goes about her day sorting the media side of her job and she talks to one of her co workers

"Hiya Chloe how are you ok , how's work?" Sally walks into Chloe's office making Chloe jump
"Oh I'm so sorry darling" she puts a hand on Chloe's back to settle her
"It's ok sally ho - honestly" she takes a few deep breaths "are you ok it will be Christmas soon before you know it any plans?"
"Christmas with my kids and my first Christmas with my first grand baby I can't wait she's so cute Chloe" she shows Chloe some photos
"Awww she's so cute sally congratulations" Chloe rubs sally's back
"Thank you Chloe well I'm off back to work now you would make a good mum you know" she goes to walk out of the office
"Wait what ??!!" Chloe sounds shocked
"Oh I'm just saying Chloe you would make a great mom when you find the right on for you" she looks back at Chloe
"Oh I um thanks I don't think I would" Chloe looks down at her feet
"Yes you would Chloe every thing In good time" she leaves her office
Chloe shuts her door and locks her office and shuts the blinds and sits on her desk. "I still can be..." she looks at the notification on her phone and checks the time she has a hour break she decides to get a pregnancy test. She leaves the Etihad and goes to the Asda near by and gets a pregnancy test and puts it in the bag and goes back to the Etihad and goes to the bathroom on her Floor and takes the test and puts it back in her bag and goes back to her office and locks the door and make sure the blinds are closed and takes out the test to look at the result her eyes go wide when she looks at it "my god it's positive .... I- it's jacks" she sits at her desks at takes a few deep breaths looking at the positive test in her hand for a few minutes which feels like hours I decide Google'
a few things about pregnancy it tells me that pregnant women should avoid stress I decide to book a scan I'm lucky they have a few cancellations there's one available for a the end of the week Friday I can go in my lunch hour I decide to work through the day to keep my mind occupied I've done all my work and I can finish early I'm packing my things up which I look at the test Then put it in my bag and leave when my phone pings

I put my phone back in my bag and walk out of the Etihad and drive home Ignoring jack

Friday rolls around I'm at work doing my usual things when my lunch break starts and I make a quick exit out of the Etihad and make pay a visit to the local midwife clinic not too far from here I walk into to the waiting room and check in and take a seat
"Chloe London" a nurse calls and I walk into the room and lays on the bed
"How are you feeling Chloe" the nurse looks at me
"I'm good thank you just booked this to put my mind at rest" I look at the midwife with a concerned look
"Im sure things will be fine now can we start the scan" she looks at me
"Yes of course I roll up my jumper and fold down my leggings and the midwife put a blob of cold gel on my belly And moves the stick around that's when she tells me
"There they are" she turns to screen to me that when I see it the back And white image of the baby moving around she take some measurements and tells me I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my due date is may "you haven't got long if you are having second thoughts chloe I'm assuming this was what you wanted correctly"
"Yes it was thank you nurse" she prints some images of for me I wipe the gel from belly and walk back to my car and look at the pics I smile and look at my tummy and lay a hand over it and gently feel it "mummy got you and I'm going to look after you just me and you" I put the pics back I'm my bag and drive back to the Etihad and go back to my office to finish my last bit of work early finish for me I'm just packing up for my things and it's setting dark when my door opens I turn to see jack I immediately grab my bag
"Hey sorry I didn't mean to scare ya , how are ya?"
Jacks innocent face looks at me
"I'm not bad thank you , what do you want ?" I wrap my coat Around me and put a hind over my belly hoping he won't catch on
"I wanted to see ya to talk look I miss ya I don't want my ex I want you Chloe" he looks at me with those puppy eyes
"Jack I can't be with you I can't tell you why but we can't with you being around you ex it won't work"
He looks sad when I tell him this
"Please I want you and need you Chloe and want you" he stares at me making my chest ach
I turn away to get the rest of my things when I tell him "well we don't need you or want you!"
"Ya wot who's we Chloe ?" He stands at the door at confused When it daunts on my what I've just said
"I um meant I sorry jack" I look at him not trying to keep a serious face he seems to believe me
"Ok as long as your ok bab hope your not feeling sick anymore have you found out what it is bab?" He looks at me so innocently
"I um I'm ok now what ever it is it's gone" i smile at him weekly and with that he says goodbye and leaves my office I let go of my coat and let it fall by my side exposing my flat tummy i place a hand on it and smile and go home and relax exited for my next chapter in my life
