#PARENT'S LOVE
Leon slumped against the seat, his body ached, the driver of the taxi was looking at him a little worried in the rear view mirror. He was cursing the day he was born, not only would he have saved his mother a couple of worries but also himself. His father was in the cab in front of them and his mother in the ambulance that seemed to be leading the procession, his nerves were frayed and he thought that not even a valium would be able to lower his pulse rate at that moment. He felt a deep desire to cry, out of rage and pain. He wondered how his mother was doing, at least he was glad that his father couldn't get in the ambulance either. He laughed softly as he remembered the fight on the sidewalk, if any neighbor had taken a picture of them, it will have some value since the media did not arrive on time, "thank goodness" he murmured.
For an instant he thought about the blonde, he would find out and he couldn't let him get close to him, the problems in his family only brought bad publicity, and it was something that the poor boy didn't need to experience, it was enough for him to know that for the next few days he would followed everywhere.
He smiled with satisfaction as he remembered the scene of the beating, that son of a bitch deserved it, but he became depressed again when he remembered that his mother was a few meters away in an ambulance.
After his mother hung up the phone, Leon had a very bad feeling and decided it would be best to pay her a visit just to be on the safe side. Assuming that if she called him it was because his father was not at home. He arrived at the house, surprised to find himself in front of him again, it seemed huge now that he lived in a small apartment. He knocked on the door, and a young woman, Carmen, opened the door, stifling an exclamation when she saw him, she practically threw herself on him, something she was not used to do and for which she apologized, but she knew Leon did not mind, after all, she was the one who helped him to bring in his couples during the week, and she was the one who woke him up so they could leave the house before his father woke up, she was an angel.
She signaled him that his mother was in the living room. He entered slowly, and saw her, the truth is that she looked very bad, she still had the phone in her hand and an expression that broke his heart.
"Mom?" he called her slowly, his mother turned her head up and when she saw him her face lit up and her eyes filled with tears. Leon went over and hugged her, he realized how much he missed her.
They both sat on the sofa, his mother didn't speak, she was behaving strangely, and Leon found the whole situation too weird.
"What are you doing here son?"
"You left me worried, what happened mom? " he asked softly.
"Your father and I have been arguing," she commented softly without looking at him.
It didn't seem too strange to him, however, an idea crossed his mind but he didn't want to mention it, he was afraid of messing up.
"Your father..." she sobbed softly, clenched her fists tightly, "your father has a mistress" Leon hugged her tightly, what should he tell her? He felt sorry that his father had them since he could remember, and he has never been able to say anything to his mother.
"And what are you going to do, mom?"
"I want a divorce," his mother's answer surprised her, she always believed that his mother was a weak woman who always accepted everything her husband said, however that decision took his breath away.
"A lover, he is supporting another woman when I..."she stifled a sob "when he forbids me to support my son" she sobbed again "Leon, I'm sorry, I didn't visit you, I'm the worst mother in the world. I left you alone but it's not like that, you know you can count on me, I will always support you in whatever you need."
Leon hugged her again, he realized that if there was something the two were the same it was that, his mother felt betrayed and she acted accordingly, for her there was no turning back, her father has built an image in front of her that no one has been able to destroy except himself.
He wanted to help her but he didn't know how, perhaps it would be better if he stayed there for a few days. A sound attracted their attention, it was the sound of the door, his father entered the living room and his expression gave her to understand that he was not happy to see his son there. His mother, on the other hand, turned around with her eyes still teary, and when she saw him enter the living room, she stood up in a rapture.
"What are you doing here? I told you I didn't want to see you," she began to sob again as she approached him, "Go away..." His father seemed to have no intention of moving from there. Her mother met him with flaming eyes, "Go...GO!" her pierced cry echoed through the room.
His father seemed to hesitate for a few moments.
"We need to talk."
Leon stepped forward, stepping in.
-"You'd better leave. "
His father gave him a hard look.
"This is none of your business and this is no longer your house. This is something your mother and I will settle."
He knew his mother was going to say something but at that moment it was his turn.
"Go away, it's bad enough what you've done. She doesn't want to see you."
"Leon, I think you've forgotten who you're talking to"
The young man fixed him with cold eyes.
"No, on the contrary, I remember very well who I'm talking to, I'm talking to the most homophobic son of a bitch of ...."
The blow of his father crossed his face, making him stagger, his mother wanted to intervene, but Leon was coldly controlled, he didn't want to make a scene because his mother was hysterical enough to start a fight between them.
"I should have given you more blows, the problem is that I was always too soft on you and that's how it turned out. A sissy that the only thing he does is embarrass us in front of people."
"Don't be a hypocrite, for God's sake dad, don't try to cover up all your shit with my homosexuality!" -Leon had to take a deep breath, he was screaming with a fire that lit him up inside "Or do I have to remind you that you slept with my nanny when I was 4 years old, or maybe for those times you went on vacation with me to the countryside where you met your lover? Did you think I didn't notice? You are the worst piece of trash. I would have preferred not to be born...
He heard a muffled moan behind him, he turned around and realized that his mother was having a series of spasms and was breathing heavily.
"Mom!" he called out to her.
He heard his father's voice calling for the maid to call an ambulance. Leon approached his mother and tried to give her some air with his hand, his eyes were watery, and he felt guilty, but he couldn't help it, it was as if he had taken a weight off his shoulders.
A few minutes passed that seemed eternal until his father's hand took him out of the way and he got up to leave with a lost look behind the paramedics. Once on the street, the nurse tried to call them into the ambulance.
His father's hand stopped him.
"You're not going, you've done enough already, this is all your fault."
Leon didn't think about it and gave him a punch that threw him to the floor and throwing himself directly on top of him, one of the nurses came to separate them, while he warned his colleagues that they could leave, they would follow them behind.
Leon smiled sideways at him.
"It's over, Dad."
"Are you feeling better?"
"No, I'm not going to feel better until I've completely destroyed you, I'm going to fuck up your life like you've fucked up mine."
He turned and started walking to get out his cell phone and call a cab.
