Big Fall

Yunno awoke startled by that annoying feeling of falling in their sleep. The feeling always seemed to hit them whenever they slept, always being the reason they ended up waking up, to begin with. It wasn't a huge deal, they'd just put up with it and get on with their day normally. The sun shined bright above and around them. It took them several minutes to notice how their body tore through the sky. The wind whipped right by them as they plummeted to the ground. Their eyes widened as they realized they literally were falling. Apart from them wanted to see the height, but another part of them knew they'd vomit if they'd look. They had never been awesome with heights.

Reasonably, they felt terror. They screamed and closed their eyes, even going as far as to cover their face with their arms. No longer did they wear the clothes they fell asleep in, but the terror that filled them was too great for them to process that fact just yet. This was going to be the death of Yunno, wasn't it? They could not believe that they would die at this age, doing nothing with their pathetic life. It truly was a pathetic thing. Before their thoughts could spiral into a much darker turn, they smacked against something metal- or maybe it was gold? They weren't entirely sure if they had to be fully honest. The object felt cold, but when moving to their side, trying to ignore the sharp pain that scattered across their back from the impact, they found themselves overtaken by heat. They kept their eyes closed and face covered out of fear of what they now had to face. The sounds of horses making noises of complaint is what really drew their attention. They pulled their arms from their face and reluctantly peeled their eyes open.

" Oh good, you're not dead," a man stated as he stared at them, holding golden reins in his hands. It seemed to suit him, in a way.

" I didn't think I would know how to explain a dead person on my chariot," he snorted like it was the funniest comment in the world. Yunno didn't find it very funny at the very least.

The man, well they hoped he was a man, had gorgeous almost golden hair. They had the urge to run their hand through it- or pull it. Maybe the last one was slightly childish, but who can blame them? He had beautifully tanned skin and bright blue eyes that stood out largely in his practically golden completion. Just being near him made Yunno feel like it was a hot summer day, not something they really complained about either. They like summer. They weren't really sure how to respond to all his strange comments. So they pressed their lips together and slowly sat up. Their eyes glanced over the edge of the back of the chariot. A, clearly, audible yelp left them.

" Yeah, you would've been one ugly-looking pancake- not that you're ugly," the man spoke.

They huffed and rolled their eyes at him. They didn't really blame him, they thought they were plenty ugly. There wasn't a single thing they found beautiful about themselves, well maybe their eyes or the color of their hair. They had never colored or even bleached their hair just because they liked it so much. Wow, even in their mind they were rambling.

" I'm Apollo, though I think that'd be obvious," he spoke again. His name didn't click for several minutes.

When it had, Yunno stared at him in disbelief. A god, in flesh in blood right here in front of them. They couldn't believe it. This had to be a dream, though the aches and sharp pains of their back from the impact had suggested otherwise. Even so, they pinched themselves. This all felt so real. They hoped it wasn't really a dream, and if it was, they never wanted to wake up.

" What's with you? You look like you've seen a ghost."

The man, Apollo, turned to look at them. He held himself in such a godly way, yet his personality didn't come off all that godly. It was as if he enjoyed the company of another mortal, which they didn't really understand. He's a god, why would he want to hang out with someone like them?

" Never seen a god before?" he spoke with a tone that hinted he was joking, however, the playful smile dropped as he realized that he had been correct.

" No," they confirmed.

The god looked surprised now, so it seems it is Yunno's turn to surprise him now. His eyes slowly gazed down upon them, practically checking them out. They felt their cheeks heat up. They felt upset when he had turned around and said nothing. He seemed visibly upset now, which made them feel self-conscious. They knew they weren't all that pretty, but he didn't have to do THAT. They looked down at what they were wearing, finally realizing that these were not their clothes. They had fallen asleep in underwear and a t-shirt with socks. Now? They wore a bright, ugly if you asked them, orange t-shirt that seemed to be cut like a crop top. They found it cute. The T-shirt had white lettering that read Camp Half-Blood. They had black jeans that were torn in various places but obviously didn't come that way. They looked torn from battle or even age. Finally, they wore some worn-out tennis shoes that clearly had seen better days.

Yunno tugged at the t-shirt in confusion. The shirt felt so familiar, the text mostly, but they couldn't remember why. Some of their memories were really fuzzy. Whatever the reason as to why. They hoped that they would return soon. Clearly, they would need the memories.

" Where are we going? "

" Olympus."

Apollo seemed to be more hesitant around them now. They weren't a huge fan of the behavior. Why would a god be hesitant around a mortal? He could literally just toss them off this thing and let them go splat if he wanted to.
