It had been 2 weeks since Kia's birth he had just opened his eyes and they were green just like Scar's once Kia opened his eyes it was then time for the Presentation ceremony where Kia was going to be presented to the kingdom of the Pride Lands just like his cousin Simba was everyone was looking forward to the Presentation ceremony including the Royal Family
Kia's POV: I was resting in my mother's paws my mother was inside the den and I was curled up in her fur I was a beautiful cub I was a mixture of my parents mostly my father Scar I had his eyes and I had a little bit of his fur color as well I yawned and stretched I looked up at my mother and I saw her smile then she nuzzled me I giggled happily and reached up to her making her chuckle softly then my father came in
How is our little cub doing? Daddy asked looking down and gently nuzzled me
He's doing well Scar he just woke up from his nap mommy replied
Well that is wonderful daddy said feeling happy and proud
I rolled onto my feet and began to walk when I stumbled out of mommy's paws and fell to the ground I meowed frightfully and looked at daddy who looked down at me and leaned down and gently nuzzled me to calm me down
Shhhh it is alright now son it is alright now daddy said gently while nuzzling me
I purred as daddy nuzzled me then he gently picked me up and set me back down gently in mommy's paws and I smiled happily at them as I did I saw my uncle coming in he was a big lion with yellow fur and a red mane and reddish brown eyes my uncle was followed by my cousin Simba I couldn't talk yet so when I see him or anyone else I would meow in response
Scar Leah Rafiki is here so we must begin the presentation ceremony uncle Mufasa said in his deep voice
Alright Muffy we are coming Daddy said
Uncle Mufasa is daddy's big brother and Muffy was daddy's nickname for him as daddy and uncle Mufasa were going out towards the edge of Pride Rock mommy gently picked me up and carried me out she laid down in the entrance of Pride Rock and I was curled up in her fur purring after a moment I felt mommy licking the top of my head so I turned around and saw Rafiki he smiled softly at me then rattled his staff in front of me I giggled happily then he cracked open a piece of fruit then he dipped his finger into the fruit then draped the fruity liquid across my forehead then he picked up some dust and sprinkled on my forehead which caused me to sneeze which mommy and daddy thought was cute and they rested their foreheads against each other and smiled happily down at me then Rafiki picked me up and walked over towards the edge of Pride Rock and held me up and the entire kingdom went crazy which frightened me and I started crying uncontrollably Rafiki sensed that I was scared because he brought me back down and I was cradled in his arms I was able to stop crying when I felt mommy and daddy nuzzling me then I finally calmed down then we went back inside the presentation ceremony was over and I was glad daddy and uncle Mufasa decided to go on patrol while mommy and I hung out with aunt Sarabi and aunt Sarafina and Simba and Nala I was resting in mommy's paws watching Simba and Nala playing
Kia is so adorable he looks just like his father when he was that age aunt Sarafina said
Yes he is and I'm just so glad Scar didn't decide to name him after him and I'm so proud to be his mother mommy replied
Well it would have been interesting if Scar would have named him after him aunt Sarabi replied
Well to be quite honest Scar's name isn't really a good name for a cub mommy said
