This world in which our Aldwyn lives, is not a world of dreams, filled by rosa sunsets, and love matches. This world, in which the country of Ran exists, is lit by a cold light and there is far between cozy fireplaces, and the inviting hearths of happy homes.
This world is for some a nightmare. For some, it is a wild uncontrollable and scary place, full of monsters lurking in the dark, the very same dark they try and hide themselves in.
This world is truly filled with all kinds of monstrous creatures. Creatures that have appeared in the dreams of some. And the nightmares of others.
"I am so sorry Aldwyn. We are all so so sorry, I had no idea what kind of boy it was that I brought into our home, and to think I was going to make you marry such a perverted person, I mean he almost, he almost, almost Assaulted you!! Aldwyn you never have to talk or even look at him again and in no way will you accept an apology letter from him, when me and your dad looked through the kitchen window and saw..." Aldwyn disrupts her moms frantic rant, by asking quietly. "So you're not mad at me?" Tears well up in her moms eyes, and if it wasn't for the fact that Aldwyn still in the back of her mind is trying to savor every moment of the dream she was just woken up from, she would probably also be crying right now. "No of course not bunny, I cant believe me and your father was about to pick such a terrible match for you! We will be much more careful from now on! I cant believe we didn't see this coming, we were probably just a little diluted after you cast aside the first suitor. But don't you worry about that for I have actually, just this morning, heard that the blacksmith has a very agreeable daughter, who is currently looking to marry and already has a cottage down by the lake where she is to move in with her spouse and..." At this point in the conversation or rather monologue held by her mom, Aldwyn had completely closed out her moms voice.
-Why does she always hold these kind of soliloquys whenever we have an argument? Its like she only wants to understand and justify why she did what she did. She never listens to my point of view, doesn't she want to now how I feel at all? Doesn't she want to know what I want?-
As Aldwyns head is clearing up more and more after her deep sleep she notices a lovely scent coming from her door. The smell of favorite breakfast, corn porridge and rhubarb compote puts out the angry fire in her chest.
-She loves me, she just does not understand that I'm not a little girl anymore, who needs her moms explanation of everything and anything. Even myself she tries to explain to me, like she knows who I am better than I do. But she loves me, she really does.-
"Is that rhubarb porridge I can smell?" Aldwyn asks with a forgiving smile forming on her lips. "Yes bunny, you can come when your ready. But don't take too long now, were going into town with the flower bouquets we made yesterday." With that last notion, her mom walks back into the kitchen, to stir the porridge, and Aldwyn slides back down under her duvet, her mouth wide open in a silent scream.
-Into town? Into town! Phillip lives in the town.-
At the dinner table, not much is said. Her father apologizes for last night with a serious face and in a very quickened tone, and then informs her that her sister has gone back to Nifl the small town she moved to a couple of years ago, to start up the shoemaking shop her and her fiancé were dreaming of. The upcoming trip to the city and the update from her dad, has put Aldwyn in quite a bad mood, her fists clenched and glaring resentfully out into the rose garden blooming outside the kitchen window as she thinks to herself.
