"WHAT?!" Cried out Bramblestar and Squirrelflight.
"Yes, it is true, she has a small insane part of her, but if she comes to me every morning, she will be fine. But she wants you to tell the clan. It has taken her four moons to get over this fact but she has realised that doesnt change her, she just needs forgiveness if she zones out because she is fighting herself so dont get mad. She will be alright because I will take care of her. Okay?"
"But how will she get on?" Asked Squirrelflight.
"The same as always." Jayfeather replied "Now you have an anoucement to make and I have herbs to pick now get on with it." He growled and stalked off.
"Blossomfall," asked Bramblestar, "do you want me to tell the clan?"
"Of course, they will find out eventually." I replied walking down the rock pile. Seedpaw bounced up to me, clearly excited.
"Are we going now?" She asked.
"No," I replied, "Bramblestar is calling a meeting." I answered sitting down, "And you really need to hear this." I added hearing Bramblestar yowl for the clan to gather.
"Let all cats gather beneth the highledge for a clan meeting!" He cried. The clan came muttering about what this was about.
"Clan I have two important messages to tell you all, the first about Blossomfall." The gathered cats pricked their ears up in intrest.
"You all have to go easy on her, Jayfeather is treating her so there is no reason she cannot continue her duties." He challenged.
"Why?" Some cat called from the crowd.
"Ask her yourself." He sent back. "It's a delicate situation. But in other news... Sandstorm, Greystripe and Dustpelt have desided to join the elders den!" Gasps of shock reined throughout the clearing, but finally a call of happiness and welcome escaped from Purdy's jaws and everyone else joined in the cries untill the whole hollow was filled in its thunder. Bramblestar held a single call for a few heartbeats while the comotion died down. Finally he asked "Sandstorm, Greystripe and Dustpelt, do you wish to join the elders den, to rest and relax for the seasons to come?"
"We do," grumbled Dustpelt. "I thought thats what we told you at the meeting!" Everyone laughed at that remark whispering Theres the new Mousefur right there and watch out apprentices! A little bit embarrassed Bramblestar finnished the ceremony.
"Then join your new den, and may you have many moons rest from your hardships." As they went to their new places outside fhe den with Purdy. "Now the meeting is over, go back to your patrols and finnish the day. We will have a feast to celebrate Sandstorm, Greystripe and Dustpelt's new status in the clan, so I want extra hunting patrols for it!" He ordered, then went back into hos den.
"Come on!" I whispered to my apprentice, "Its time for your battle training." And raced off to the clearing, not looking if Seedpaw was following me.We got to the clearing where Ivypool and Lillypaw were already waiting.
"Sorry for keeping you." I opologised "We didnt know you were already here."
"Its okay," she replied. "We just got here just before you. But now," she paused staring at the new apprentices. "Its time for your lessons. The first move you are going to learn is the slick kick. The slik kick is when you pretend to aim for your opponent's face when really you dive under your opponent's belly, twist on to your back, and kick up with your hind legs claws unsheathed. But since its just practice, claws will be sheathed. Seedpaw will go with your mentor," facing her apprentice Ivypool looked so focused like she was about to burst. "But we will demonstrate first." She finnished, circling towards the edge of the clearing.
I backed up, slinking my shoulders and hips down into a crouch. Ivypool flicked her ears, showing that I would do the move on her. Mussles rippled on the silver and white shecat's shoulders as they gathered the power into her haunches and sprung. Ivypool was strong and went with the force of the tackle, flinging Blossomfall into a tree, winded and gasping for breath she barely dodged a well aimed blow to her head. Ivypool chased Blossomfall to another tree, determind not to be beat I flipped behind Ivypool, catching her unawares, sliding as easily as a fish through water under her unprotected belly, twisting and kicked her high in the air, Ivypool fell with a thud and meowed.
"Fine you win!" Coughing she gasped out "That was a nice little back flip you did back there." Congratulating Blossomfall she staggered to her paws, spluttering. "Now I want you to try with your mentors, and remember: claws sheathed and dont look where your aiming." Taking my apprentice to the edge of the clearing, she bounced behind me as I gave her a postition, and stalked off the other way. Spinning on one paw I faced Seedpaw and called to her "I want you to charge-" Yowling she sprung at me, highly surprised, I got tackled to the ground with a few hard blows to my muzzle and soft underbelly. She sprung off from me, using my face as a push off. I scrabbled to my paws, but she just used the new move on me, and sent me flying. I was so surprised with her strength that I went up and charged, a blow to her muzzle and a kick sent her to the ground. I pounced but she rolled away from me. We sprang at each other, wrestling in what seemed like an age. Finally we sprang apart, breathing hard and fast. We calmed down enough to speak.
"That was great!" Cried Lillypaw, spinning around in excitement. "That was so cool! And that was a great move you caught her with Blossomfall, and-"
"Seedpaw is really strong," interupted Cinderheart, Ivypool and I spun around with surprise.
"Yes," continued Lionblaze, "She is nearly as strong as you Blossomfall." Seedpaw flattened her ears with embarrassment.
"What are you doing here?" I asked the couple.
"Cinderheart told me the good news!" Lionblaze mewed happily, "I'm going to be a father!"
"Congratulations!" I cried "When will they be born?"
"In one and a half moons." Cinderheart answered, " And I cant wait!"
"Well you better go into the nursery! Dont want to hurt the kits."
"I know, and I wont be able to thank Daisy enough to help."
"Right, well I am going to teach Seedpaw hunting techniques, since fighting comes easily to her like breathing! So bye." I replied,
"Bye Seedpaw! Swift hunting!" Called Lillypaw.
"Dont worry! I will catch something nice and big for you Cinderheart!" Mewed Seedpaw. Running after me, we raced to the Sky Oak. I suddenly stopped and scented the air, I smelled a rabbit. Signilling to Seedpaw to stay back, I lowered myself into a crouch and crept forward. Spotting the rabbit under a bush I lept on to its back. Before it could even react I gave it a swift bite to the neck. Facing my apprentice I asked,
"Okay, did you see what I did?" She nodded. "Now how do you stalk a mouse?" I asked with one paw on the freshly killed rabit.
"You keep your tail low but dont drag it along the ground, step lightly, and pounce without brushing or breaking anything."
"Good, now, there is another rabit in the thicket," flicking my ears to the bramble thicket, "Catch it and bring two other peices of prey, then we can go home." She crept lightly, not making a sound. Then, with a powerful leap, taking down the rabbit. Breaking its neck. Walking up to her I whispered, "Give thanks to StarClan for its life." She draged the rabbit over to mine and followed the tracks of a mouse. I opened my jaws, there was the smell of a hare a few foxlengths away. Jumping in to a tree, I saw it. Nibbling at the grass. Shifting my weight, I dropped, smashing on to its shoulders. Breaking its head. Then scoping out a near by mouse, I smashed its spine. Thankyou StarClan for a prey filled forest! Scoping up the kills, I went back to the rabbits. Seedpaw was waiting with a wood mouse and a large pigeon.
"Great work!" I said "Now I will help you put your rabbit on your back, you put the mouse in your mouth and the pigeon under your chin." I worked the rabbit onto her back, then fixed the hare onto mine. Picking up the rest we slowly walked back to camp. We went straight to the nursury where Cinderheart and Daisy was sitting. Daisy was fussing over Cinderheart.
"Are you cold? Do you need a drink?"
"Cold, no. Drink yes." I let out a little cough, letting them know we were here.
"Hello!" Said Cinderheart, " Wow, thats a lot of prey!" Admiring the freshkill.
"We wanted to know what you wanted. So what will it be? Mice? Pigeon? Rabbits or hare?"
"We will take-"
"Hi." Dovewing had entered the nursery.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Seedpaw.
"I just found out I was having Bumblestripe's kits." She replied.
"Well you better come here and have your pick." Cried Daisy, "There is just so much food! And a more important matter, have you told Bumblestripe?"
"No but I will soon, he is out on patrol now so I desided to move in." She answered.
"Hey I have a cunning idea!" Seedpaw cried. Facing me she asked "Can you get Jayfeather Blossomfall?"
"Sure! Do you want me to go now?"
"No, we will wait for Bumblestripe to come back from patrol, as soon as he comes through the barrier you get Jayfeather. I will chat to him while Jayfeather comes here. Then I will tell him to come here, when his scent gets stronger, start chating to Cinderheart Dovewing. Daisy you can chime in too if you want."
"Sure."
"Great, but be making another nest for Dovewing, but dont tell him that. Dovewing, once Daisy is finnished, casualy go sit in it. When he asks, casualy throw it into the conversation, if he starts bouncing around the camp, then it was a success. Also Blossomfall, when Jayfeather comes, bring some wet moss ok?"
"Sure thing geinus!"
"Great! Now... stations!" Seedpaw comanded. Leaving her rabbit for the queens. I went off after her, but first, we put are prey on the pile, except the hare I took it to the elders den. Now, time for fase one to begin!
