I'm sure everyone that has grown up being told what is right and what is wrong, often wonders what life would be like to live on the wild side, and take chances. That's exactly what Emily Lynn wants.

Emily is an average girl with decent grades and a loving family only her parents are different. Not them in general but their jobs have turned them into completely different people.

When Emily was around six years old her father decided to make a courageous decision, and find a new job. He was running his own tile business, it was successful but he yearned for something more exciting in life. And he wanted to make a difference in the world of  ... Wait for it.   Teenagers. He didn't want to become a generic father and become a doctor..Noooo  he wanted to help the kids in Phoenix, Arizona, make the right choices. He wanted his little daughter to be able to grow up and be a perfect princess. So he became a police officer to stop crime and help people. I know what your thinking (Emily he's trying to help people) if you knew him you would have seen him change. He became so absorbed into helping others that he forgot about his own child. He rarely ever saw her was always working or sleeping.

Her mother wasn't much better she loved Emily but when she started kindergarten her mother started to work again. Her mother didn't have a normal schedule that's the life of a lawyer. Her mother was always very busy. Where would that leave poor Emily you might ask well she was just alone.

She had no siblings to keep her company. Her mother could no longer conceive a child after the birth of Emily. So she would come home to the silence, and at first she envied  the other children at school always talking about their siblings and how much they wished they were an only child. She would listened to their ranting and try to look as though she understood the feeling , when deep down she was heart-broken that she would never be an aunt.

As she grew up Emily tried her best to have her parents see her as more than another mouth to feed and a child to scorn. Even with all these emotions swirling around her she still managed to seem happy on the outside. Always faking a smile and laughing with people while deep down on the inside she was crying.

Eventually as she grew older she finally excepted her fate and grew accustomed to being alone in fact she welcomed the times she came home from school and was greeted with silence. Her parents loved her despite what you think really did love her and they told her whenever they found a moment to rest from their busy schedule.

Emily grew up in a VERY Christian family and was always good at making the right choices and trying to please her parents. But one day she makes a slip up and her world of silence comes crashing down...
