As the morning started Stella was driven back to the hotel. Saying her goodbyes to the Hughes family earlier and to her lovely boys she dearly missed. Collecting Vela and the triplets as they all headed home once more.
The five of them heading to their separate houses as Stella was called outside to the garden. Not by Chris... by Matthew Sturniolo.
"Matt?" she called out
"Stella" he said getting up from checking out the flowers
"Yeah" she responded to his call out
"These flowers are dead, guess you guys really are over" He said looking at Stella
"What do you mean?" she asked stuffing her hands in her pockets
"These flowers were beginning to bloom when you and Chris started hanging out and getting closer. Then they were just as healthy as you and Chris were, but as you two began to fall apart these flowers continued to die and deteriorate" he said as if he was telling a story
"I guess so, me and Chris did plant those" she said hiding her sadness
"I'm gonna miss you Stella, genuinely" he said looking down shyly
"I'm gonna miss all of you, even these stupid fucking flowers" she said making them both laugh
"How long is it until you move?" he asked looking back up
"I don't know. They haven't told me" she shook her head
"I hope it's not soon so we could have our final days celebrated" he said
"Yeah" Stella nodded feeling her phone vibrate
"Sorry" she said taking the call
Stella answered and it was the coach for her college team, he told her to hurry onto the rink because she had more interviews to do. Stella agreed but let out a big sigh when the call ended, looking at matt with a guilty look knowing these interviews could end it all.
"I have to go matt" she told him backing up
"I'll see you" he said leaving her
Stella nodded and ran off to her car, she was wearing jeans and one of Trevor's hoodies. Heading to the rink as she stormed in and went to the media rooms, getting dragged into another room by her coach.
"Stella I have good but bad news" he told her
"I have to move to California in a couple of days?" she asked
"No, by tomorrow" he corrected Stella
Stella dropped her slight smile she had, her heart breaking as she realized she really couldn't celebrate with anyone. She had to pack and tell Trevor right away that she was moving in quickly.
"Okay, yeah I'll be there" Stella nodded
"Okay go on out there" he said patting her shoulder
Stella did mulpitle boring interviews, mainly about her hockey skills and talking about her teammates. Boring questions and the same questions all over again, she answered in monotone. Thinking straight and saying whatever was on her mind.
She got a thirty minute break, calling Trevor instantly as she had to notify him.
"What's up?" he answered
"I was told about three hours ago that I'm gonna have to go down to Cali by tomorrow" she told him
"Oh shit we haven't even gotten it ready yet" Trevor said
"I could just stay in your room" Stella stated
"Okay yeah, well have it done literally by the second day" Trevor said
