Nathan's POV

'She is so gorgeous' I thought as I secretly stared at her during class, she wasn't like most girls. She didn't care that I was popular or that I was hot, which I was, I also couldn't help but feel that I knew her from somewhere. When she smiled she kind of looked like that girl Viva James from two years that left. Viva was gorgeous, she was super funny and nice but everyone hated her because she was a nerd. Her best friend always looked out for her and you could tell that he loved her in more than a friend way. This morning I saw him and Laura hugging and he had the same look in his eye that he did when Viva was around, something strange was going on. This Laura girl apparently just moved here from Australia but Liam, Viva's friend, seems to know her very well. I know that I'm not the smartest but it doesn't take a brainiac to figure out that Laura is Viva.

Viva left half way through school two years ago for some unknown reason but I'm pretty sure that it had something to do with me and the popular group. You see, I always had a small crush on her even though she had glasses and wore baggy clothes, my ex-fling Brianna noticed my interest in Viva and whenever she saw Viva she would either kiss me on the lips or hug me closer. Viva didn't even look like she noticed and even if she did I doubt she would care. Eventually I worked up enough courage to go and talk to her, it was a Tuesday afternoon after school and I had been waiting outside of the school for her but she never came out so I walked back inside and went looking for her around the school.

As I walked past the girls bathroom I heard laughing and crying, the laughing sounding strangely like Brianna's.

"You're pathetic, Nathan will never like you," I heard Brianna say and I was immediately intrigued, did this mean she liked me? I started paying closer attention and I heard a slapping sound and Viva cried harder.

I slammed the door open and ran inside not caring if anyone saw me, I was seeing red.

Viva's POV

11:40 pm

I read the clock and groaned, I had been sleeping and my mind flashed back so the day Brianna decided to corner me in the girls toilets at school.

I was walking and my phone beeped with a text.. it was from Brianna saying that there had been an accident in the toilets with Amy, I didn't even stop to wonder how she had gotten my phone number. I ran in but there was no sight of my best friend, I heard the door lock and I turned around to see Brianna standing there with an ugly smirk on her face. I was so confused and asked her why I was here, her responding with, " Don't act like you don't know. You're here because of Nathan, you're a little slut that's playing hard to get and for some odd reason you are making Nathan want you. Why don't you just open your ugly legs for him like you did for Liam and then get lost. Nobody likes you, you're pathetic, Nathan will never like you," by this point I had already started crying and she had already slapped and kicked me during her long speech. She hit me again and then all of a sudden, somebody barged through the door, it was Nathan and he was fuming. Brianna looked scared for a moment before quickly replacing it with a look of sadness, making herself tear up and she started stuttering, "Nathan, thank goodness you're here, Viva called me down here and she locked the door and started hitting me and yelling at-" Nathan cut her off, "Save it! I heard what you said and I can tell that Viva didn't hit you because you have no marks yet she has marks and your hands are red. I will never like you so get that through your bimbo head, you are a slut who opens her legs for every guy that walks past. We never dated and if I had to choose between you and Viva, Viva would win every time. Look at you and look at her, she is way prettier and sweeter than you'll ever be. I never want to see you again."

I stared at him in shock, I had always had a crush on him but he never noticed me before but now he is standing up for me infront of his ex. He looked at me and smiled sadly before glaring at Brianna, she looked like she was going to kill me, Nathan obviously noticed this as well because just as she lunged for me his hands gripped her waist and she was pulled outside. I quickly gathered all my stuff together and ran out the door, I had been bullied this whole year and mum had already decided to change me from different schools.

Nathan's POV

She was definitely Viva. I walked over to her locker as soon as class finished since we were in different classes this period. She was already there putting all her books away so I walked over and stood right behind her and whispered in her ear, "Viva James, I see you don't need glasses anymore," I got the reaction I wanted, she froze completely before turning around with her mouth wide open.
