Chapter 5

Quinn's POV
I woke up by the annoying alarm again. I got up and saw a message on my phone.

Trevor 👍👌😁😋:
Hey good morning

Me:
Hey morning to u too 😉

Trevor👍👌😁😋:
I'm going to wait at my house text me when your near it

Me:
Ok I will see ya then

I texted and got dressed. once I got all the things I needed I left my room only to be greeted by the strong smell of alcohol. my dad was passed out on the kitchen floor. should I help him? I could move him to the couch and I did.

Once I did I slipped on some water and landed on the ground. pain shot through my body but the worse pain was in my hand. I finally moved my dad on the couch and saw that I had a piece of glass in my hand. oh great just great!

I went to the kitchen and pull out the glass. I washed the cut and it burned really bad. I got a band-aid and left the house with all my stuff.

I was a minute or two from Trevor's so I texted him I was close. a couple minutes later I saw him come out side with a women that look kinda like him. she gave him a hug and a kiss on the forehead before waving at me with a nice smile and walk inside the house.

"I guess that's your mom." I said when Trevor was next to me "yeah she's a really nice person and she makes the best brownies." he said smiling "you really love your mom don't you?" I asked as we walked to school ( well I actually ride my skateboard but whatever).

"You know my mom use to make cookies for me and when she did she would always almost burn down the house." I said laughing a little at the times she did that so did Trevor. "Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go walk around town after school?" Trevor asked as I hid my skateboard in my spot. "um why?" I said "oh you know so I can get to know the town and I thought that you would know it pretty good." he said "yeah I do so... ok I'll do it." I said and he got a cute look of excitement in his eyes. "great!" He said.

I saw my friends talking in the hall "hey guys." I said walking up to them with Trevor "hi!" All of them said which kinda creeped me out "so Quinn and Trevor let's go to the best subject ever." Gissele said sarcastically. we walked into math and when we sat down Gissele saw my hand "hey what happened to your hand?" She asked pointing at it "oh I cut it while cleaning up a glass cup I dropped." I lied and the rest of the boring period went on.

"So what are you doing after school today?" Mack asked "why do you want to know?" Ash asked "because I was wondering if you guys wanted to go to the arcade like we did last year." Mack said "um sure I'll go." Gissele said "yeah me too" said ash "so what about you Quinn can you come?" Mack asked me "um no I can't I have plans." I said then Trevor sat down next to me and the rest of lunch was blurry.

"Bye see you later guys!" I yelled at my friends as I got my skateboard. I saw standing at the curb talking on the phone he looked happy. "yeah she's nice." he said then looked at me "hey guys I'll talk to you later." He said again and put up his phone. "So you ready?" I asked "yep." he said really happy like.

"you seem happy." I said "yeah I just got off the phone with my friends,the ones that dare me to do stuff." "Oh those ones well what did you talk about?" I asked then his checks turned a light shade of pink "um just school and my friends like you." he said "ok cool."

We walked and talked about stuff and every time he smiled or laugh I got butterfly's in my stomach stop!!!!!! I told my self but it didn't work. "so this the best arcade In town." I said as we walked pass it. "can we go in?" Trevor asked "yeah sure." I told him and we raced to the front. once we were in I looked for my friends but I didn't see them.

We stayed in there for about 20 to 30 minutes challenging each other to games. we decided to go grab something to eat before going to my favorite place the library!!!! " let's go to my favorite fast food place here Taco Bell!" I said dramatically witched made us both laugh "I'm ok with that." Trevor said.

We reached Taco Bell and ordered our food. I got 2 soft tacos with just meat and cheese, and Trevor got tacos too but they were hard shelled and had lettuce in ew 😖. "So are you liking the tour so far?" I asked as we sat down at a table. "It's good it seem like you could never get bored here." "yeah I bet you friends will show you more stuff later but for right now you get the basics." I said.

After a long time of silent eating we got our stuff and headed out to the library!!! I tried really hard to keep my excitement inside but it did work. I guess Trevor saw how excited I was and laughed "I guess you like the library." he said before I got on my skateboard and ride the rest of the way there.

Trevor's POV
We reached the library and Quinn burst with excitement. she technically bust opened the door and ran to her favorite spot here and pulling me with her. I didn't mind it I acutely thought is was cute of how nerdy she is. she would bit her lip every time she found a book she wanted, and when she read a book you could see her lips moving with the words like she was reading out loud but not.

I wasn't a big reader but I would read here and there. I started to wonder off to explore the hug library when I could hear crying. I walked over to see Quinn looking at a picture on a bookshelf. she was crying but why? "Hey what's wrong?" I asked her and she just hugged me while crying lightly in my shirt. The contact surprised me, and I actually like it.

I hugged her back tightly and I could tell she felt safe in my arms and I was ok with that. I didn't want the moment to end but it was interrupted by the librarian telling us that the library was closing in 10 minutes. "We should get going." I told Quinn letting go of her "okay." she said loud enough for me to hear. we got our stuff and left the library and I walked while Quinn road her skateboard.

We finally arrived at her house "hey I enjoined tonight." I said "yeah me too." Quinn said as we walked to her porch. " text me when you get home ok." she said as she opened the door "yes mom." I said sassily and we both laughed "so I'll see you in the morning." she said "yeah see you then bye." I said "bye!" She said closing the door and leaving me to wonder what happens to her home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So they went on a kinda date I guess. I hope you enjoined it!
