Dear titan, another day. You sigh as you sit up on the side of your bed and rub the tiredness from your eyes, you blink as you push open your window and hum as you step out onto your balcony and admire the rising sun. This particular day seems like it will be a nice day, you nod in agreement to your positive thought. You take a deep breath and stretch before turning back to your room and getting dressed.
As you saunter to the kitchen where your butler is making breakfast, you notice no one else is awake, well awake but not willing to get out of bed yet. You wish you could stay in bed but you had school and your mother would have a bird if you didn't get there on time. She was strict about schedule and being disciplined about everything.
She was like this because she managed the business from the house while your dad worked in the family greenhouse that was located further up the isles. He grew palistrem trees and took care of them since the trees were being overharvested by the emperor's coven.
You frowned at the thought of what the emperor did with all that wood 'man must like the wood or has a collection of palismen, kinda weird..' you shook your head to clear it from your thoughts.
You turned your head slightly as your mother walked into the kitchen and greeted you with a nod of her head and "Y/n" you greeted her the same, except with an "Emelia" *well there goes the nice start to my day* you were hoping to get out of the house before she came to the kitchen.
You see your 'mother' was actually your step mom and didn't really act the part, she was rather rude towards you and you didn't like her, simple as that. Emelia picked up her cup of tea prepared by the butler and sipped on it after she cautiously blew on it, then turned her attention towards you "Dear Y/n, after school we will have company, excuse me, IMPORTANT company and I want you to be prepared, so if your teacher gives you a 'ruffle your feathers and get dirty' assignment, tell them Emelia Eslow said you can skipp" then she waved her hand in a dismissive manner "now go, time waits for no one"
After you were well away from the mansion, you rolled your eyes at her little quote and scoffed "what an old hag" but you straightened up and sighed, she only wanted the best for you and the lack of emotion could be from being doing paperwork and talking to IMPORTANT company most of the time. Your family only wanted you to succeed and their behavior was to prepare you for the outside world, well the family on your step moms side was like that and not so much your dads...while your ... biological mothers side you never met. You frowned and rolled back your shoulders, no time for all of that, even though you hardly remember the past since... she passed, NO! No time for remembering, like Emelia says, time waits for no one.

School could be a bummer for you, but you being a straight A student was important so you had no time for moping around and getting behind, besides you wondered who the special guests were. That thought was on your mind until lunch, since some kid wanted to throw food at another kid, it was dirty, so you went to sit under a tree.
"Heyo loser" you looked up from your sandwich, which you were chewing a little too aggressively, and smiled, it was Mattholomule who was a delinquent pain in the ass but was your friend who was close to you since he transferred to Hexside from Glandus not too long ago. You two got acquainted when you were sent to detention and he promised to tell no one about it, since you had a status to uphold and shit. "Uhhh, yeah, says the dude who spends more time in detention than in class" he scoffs "huh, yeah, so this is the thanks for getting you out of there" you simply roll your eyes "keep rolling your eyes, you might find a brain back there" he snickers at his comment. You gasp "ohhoho, you little shit" when you're around him you could be yourself, and not be embarrassed about it or scared he'll rat about you to other students. He sits in front of you crisscrossed and grabs the apple from your bag, taking a bite "heyyyy" you whine "that was my dessert" he just takes another bite while looking you in the eyes "not anymore, hehehe" you shrug and pick out the cookie your maid made you, which happened to be Matts favorite "well, guess i'm stuck with this..." he frowns "you BITCH" "HEY I BROUGHT IT FOR YOU" he goes to grab it, forgetting the now discarded apple, but you pull back "NAH, YOU STOLE MY APPLE, ASS" he growls "COMMON, WHYYY MUST YOU BE SO BITCHY" you laugh and break it in half "here you whittle bobo" he grabs it and rolls his eyes, you smirk "keep rolling your eyes, you might find a brain back there, or atleast the screws that held it in place" you slapped his shoulder and wheezed "man am I good" before Matt could make a remark, the bell yelled and you grabbed your stuff and ran "SEE YOU LATER, LOSER" you heard him yell something but you just laughed.
(time skipp to after school)
As you brushed your school uniform from dirt or wrinkles you felt a strange chill run up your back as you see two coven guards standing outside. Who exactly was the IMPORTANT Guests your mother was talking about.
'Oh dear titan, please don't tell me today is THAT day' you thought as you swallowed hard and stepped through the door.
'OH D E A R T I T A N, it is T H A T day' you mentally screamed as you stepped through the door with all the confidence you could muster as you looked up and locked eyes with Lilith Clawthorn, who stood aside the EMPEROR, who was talking with your mother. You felt your soul leave your body as he slowly turned his head toward you. But as soon as you felt yourself cower, you stood up straight as your inner monologue yelled 'BITCH, YOU A BAD BITCH, NO MAN, NOT EVEN THEE EmpErOr WILL MAKE YOU CHICKEN YOU OUT OF YOUR DREAM OF BECOMING A COVEN OFFICIAL'
In respect you bowed your head "welcome emperor Belos, I hope you were not waiting too long because of me" he hummed "no" he simply said and turned to Emelia and followed her to the diner area as Lillith and ThE GolDEn GaURd, WAAaaAiIIiT, he's here too..of course he is, he's the emperor's right hand man. You huffed and followed them into the diner area.
Most of the time the emperor talked to Emelia about the palistrem trees and how they were growing and everything was about the trees. You looked at your plate and huffed silently 'i thought i was gonna be able to join or at least talk to Lillith' then you remember the Golden Guard, 'hopefully I don't have to apprentice under him' you think while staring at him, and his custom outfit, while he minding his own business looking around the room and at all the food then at Lilith who was seated beside him, then he said something silently which must've made her angry and made her hit the back of his head, he growled. Their bickering went on until they sat straight when they noticed you were staring at them with an eyebrow lifted.
You also sat straight when you heard the emperor call your name, in your opinion, he had a fairly soft voice "young Y/n, your mother has told me you wanted to apprentice under Lillith as next coven official?" you felt your hands go sweaty, 'NO, YOUR NOT SCARED, YOUR A BAD BITCH, YOU CAN DO THIS' you smile as best you could "yes emperor Belos" he nods "then I find you will be pleased that you may join" you nodded your head excited "good, then no time shall be wasted in branding you and moving you to the castle" he stood up and followed Emelia to the front door "thank you Emelia, I am pleased both in the palistrem planting and you daughters cooperation" he turned to you "you shall start your apprenticeship in two days, tomorrow shall be spent moving" you bowed as he walked away, you slowly stood up "I am glad you chose me, a wide choice really, and not the Golden Brat" she shook your hand "I look forward to teaching you" then she walked toward the emperor. You turned to see the Golden Guard looking tense. "I aM noT A brAt '' he says in a shy mumble as he stomps after Lillith. You watched as they disappeared down the road.
You were excited for tomorrow to be honest, but you didn't fully understand what you just had gotten yourself into...
