3rd POV
"WHAT?!?!"
Everyone in the hallway near the canteen heard what Taehyung had just said and the students, apart from Lisa's group, were in shock.
Suddenly, it felt like buzzing as the students starts to murmur.
Lisa's group of friends was in shock but no words came out of their mouths, except for her best friend.
"W-w-wait, what is going on here?" Chaeyoung said while looking at Taehyung and then Lisa.
Jisoo then snap out of her shock and went to Lisa excitedly and whisper, "omg Lisaaaa.."
Bambam then went between Lisa and Taehyung but mostly, faced Taehyung and said, "Are you courting our Lisa?"
With that, both Lisa and Taehyung started getting red and in unison, said, "What? No!"
And in the crowd full of students, someone walks out with a small cry that grabs everyone's attention.
"Jennie!" Said Taehyung.
"What the actual fuck, Kim Taehyung! That bitch over Jennie?!" said Annie, Lisa's cousin and one of Jennie's friends, before walking out. The other cheerleading friends also give Taehyung and Lisa a dirty look before walking out.
"No no no no, don't get me wrong." Taehyung tried to explain to both groups but he was paralyzed in his position and so he just face Bambam.
"I'm here on behalf of the team."
Lisa and her friends looked at him, more confused than ever.
"Our team needs muse in the coming inter-school competition and we figured that Lisa is the best candidate."
The crowd buzz and Lisa's friends were still a bit shook but look happy and proud of Lisa.
"Well, I can't blame you. My best friend tops every category." Chaeyoung proudly declares and their friends nodded at each other, still looking happy.
Lisa, on the other hand, looks super shy and cannot look at anyone.
Dahyun then put her arms on Lisa's shoulder and said, "So Lisa, will you be 'Taehyung's muse'?"
The crowd buzz again but this time, it was divided - some seem upset, and some seem to tease the two of them:
"they're kinda cute tho, not gonna lie.."
"yes, that girl Lisa sure is cute"
"she's smart too"
"Yeah I heard she's top of her class"
"I bet she's even prettier with makeup on"
"But what about Jennie?"
"Yeah, she really looks upset awhile ago, poor her"
"Well, not all cheerleaders can be a muse"
"Yeah, you really can't have it all, can you?"
"Yah, Lisa! You don't have to answer now," said Namjoon. Taehyung looked at him and saw that the whole gang was already there.
The crowd starts to buzz again as the famous varsity team - BTS enters.
"Show off." Chaeyoung whispers and scoffs. Jisoo laughs at her reaction.
"Yeah, but in case you don't want, I might as well invite that beautiful girl with that beautiful smile to be my muse." Jin then said while looking at Jisoo. Jisoo saw and smiled.
And there's another round of buzzing in the crowd. Jin's brothers were teasing him, smacking him, and pushing him at the same time.
"Ohhh mannnn!" Yongi said
"Damnnnnnnn!" Namjoon
"That's smooth, bro" Hobi
"Teach me more" Jungkook
"Eyyy hahahahahaha" Jimin
On the other group, Chaeyoung and Dahyun were screaming, Jisoo was just blushing, and Bambam teasing her.
While this is happening, Taehyung and Lisa were standing still, immovable in their place since the whole ordeal began. Taehyung is looking directly at Lisa and Lisa, being aware of this, can't look him in the eye.
It's like everything is on fast forward and they are just there, stuck with each other. It's like no matter what they do, they're just simply stuck with each other.
And honestly, they are not complaining.
"So Lisa, what are you gonna do? I mean it's every high school girl's dream to be a muse especially of the reigning Kings in the interschool basketball league." Bambam said with all the enthusiasm.
Chaeyoung was looking at him with disgust and said, "Stop, will you? You're freaking me out."
Jisoo and Dahyun laughed but Lisa just smiled.
Chaeyoung saw this and reach out to Lisa, now with softness on her face. "You know I love you, right? I'm gonna smack you if you don't!"
Lisa chuckles. She really knows how to make her best friend smile.
"I want the best for you. The best life, best group of friends, best high school experience, best everything! So if this muse thing is something you want to experience, then I'm all for it! But if it will make you uncomfortable then you don't have to." Chaeyoung said while looking intently into Lisa's eyes while holding her hand.
The sight of the two just melts Jisoo, Bambam, and Dahyun. Dahyun even wants to cry a bit.
Lisa, almost teary-eyed with what her best friend said, squeeze her hand and smiled at her. "Thanks, Chaeng. Honestly, I-I don't know. I mean you know I don't want public attention but, I want to.. do something? Not like wash-the-dishes something but.. ugh" Lisa tried to explain but she can't.. and Chaeng understands.
"Okay okay.. We'll figure it out, alright?"
Lisa smiled at her appreciatively.
It's time for me and my best friend's ME time - Chaeng thought to herself.
