Chapter XXVI: That's Our Story

LISA POV.

That weekend we went to a Taehyung's grandma's resthouse in celebration of me, passing the SSC program and the last chance of spending out summer vacation. Next week will be the start of the classes.

"Noona! Let's go for a swim!" Little taejunie was with me almost all the time and I really enjoyed playing with him. I feel like I'm a kid again that I even ride a kiddie slide.

Thank god for Taejunie, I don't need to hang out with that jerk! Eversince our short argument, we didn't talk about it. Actually, we didn't talk that much and barely interact. But he's always with us, just tailing us wherever we go.

That night, Taehyung and samchun set up a fireplace in front of the beach and we enjoyed our dinner in front of it, talking about almost everything.

Taejunie is already sleeping soundly in my arms. When imo saw it, he reached out, carry Taejunie and said, "Ooh, my baby's tired. We're going to bed now. You kids too."

"Yeah, me too." Said samchun while yawning.

I smiled and Taehyung replied, "Yes, mom, dad. Good night."

"Sleep well." I added. And then there's the two of us.

3rd POV.

They're sitting in front of each other with the bonfire between them. It's been quiet for a few minutes until Lisa breaks the silence.

"What's your plan?" Taehyung looks at her straight in the eyes.

Lisa saw how dreamy he looks right now in front of the fireplace.

D-dreamy? Did I just say dreamy? Lisa thought, looked down and said, "Y-you know, your friends knows that you know me."

"I don't care."

"What?! Are you also gonna tell them how you met me and that I live with you?..." Taehyung looks at her, surprised. "...in your house." Lisa added and looked at the bonfire.

Taehyung wanted to laugh but he just kept it inside and said, "What if... I would?"

Lisa gave him a shocked expression and Taehyung laughed at her loudly.

"WHAT??? WHAT'S SO FUNNY???"

"Hahahaha you should see the look on your face HAHAHAHA!"

"Stop it, okay?! Quit messing around!"

"Hahahaha okay, I'm sorry, you're so gullible." Lisa make-face and Taehyung showed his box smile but stops himself to laugh.

"Well, there's no point in hiding that we know each other. But of course, I won't tell them that 'you live with me'...in my house'." Taehyung teases Lisa while she glared at him.

"I would just tell them that we met on a café where you work, and you introduce yourself to me that we're schoolmates before and that you confess your love to me..."

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Why would I confess my love to you??"

"Let's just put some interesting details." Taehyung said while wriggling his eyebrows to her.

"No!"

"Why? It has to be convincing! I mean, why would we be 'friends' when we just 'met at the cafe', right?"

"Uhm, because it could happen, you know. And 'confessing my love to you' sounds convincing?"

"Hell yeah! Like who would not!"

"You're too full of yourself, mister!"

"I'm just being honest! So that's our story."

"No! Just remove the confessing shit and I'm okay with it."

Taehyung just laugh at her cursing and raise both of his hands while shaking his head. "Okay okay, if you say so. But you're the one who approached me, NO BUTS!"

Lisa was about to say something but she just let it be, as long as there's no 'love confession'.

A few minutes have passed before Taehyung breaks the silence.

"So, why haven't you replied to Jimin, yet? And I'm asking because I'm just curious, not because I'm his 'wingman'."

"I don't know. I mean, what would I say?"

"Just reply back."

"You know, I used to have a huge crush on Jimin." Lisa said while smiling.

"Like I didn't know." Taehyung whispered but Lisa heard it and just ignores him.

"But now that he's talking to me? It felt surreal. I mean, why would a guy like him care to know about someone me? I'm just nothing."

"No, you're not." Lisa was caught off-guard to what Taehyung said.

"Don't you ever think that, okay? What you think your mom would feel when she heard you say that?" Lisa remains silent.

"How can you defend yourself from people who'll look down on you, mock you? Have you forgotten? Dwight High's full of bullies. You can't let them beat you down."

Lisa was looking straight to Taehyung's eyes while he says those things. It was her first time to see this side of Taehyung.

Taehyung, on the other hand, realizes how engage he is saying those things when he saw Lisa looking at him intently.

He clears his throat and Lisa, for the first time, gave him a genuine smile. "Thank you. That's really helpful."

Taehyung was so mesmerized at what's in front of him so he just nods like a robot.

"It's getting cold, let's go inside." Taehyung waited Lisa before following her to his grandma's house.

Quietness fills the air when Taehyung walks Lisa to her room.

"So.. This will be your room. It's actually one of the guest rooms but this room is the nearest to my room. If you need anything, you can come to me anytime."

"You're too friendly today, my friend." Lisa teasing Taehyung. Taehyung was about to rebut when she was stopped by Lisa, "Thank you."

There.. There's that smile again. Taehyung thought.

"Ahmm.. Taehyung are you okay?"

"Y-yes! Yes, good night."

"Good night."

Gosh. Why's my heart kinda active tonight?? Taehyung thought while walking back to his room.

You better make me sleep, Lalisa!
