Nemo woke up from sleeping on her desk. She had pages flying all over the place. Gin shook her gently with his skeleton hands. She gasped at his cold touch. "Ah, Gin, don't do that."

"You're gonna be late for work." Gin grumbled. He handed her a small piece of paper and placed it gently in her hand. "Bring a piece with you. For protection."

She looked down at the smaller piece, considering his warning "Ok, but if someone touches it-"

"I'll be here all day." Gin replied. He seemed calm, which was out of character for Gin.

"Will you be ok, Gin?" Nemo asked, placing the piece of paper in her pocket.

"I'll be fine. Just don't die suddenly." Gin said before he suddenly disappeared.

Nemo blinked, trying to figure out where he was. She didn't know that he could disappear completely. She grabbed her house keys and walked out the door. She firmly locked her apartment.

She met up with L and the rest of the task force. Mr. Yagami was still recovering from his heart attack. Nemo was gathered with Matsuda, Aizawa, and Ryuzaki to discuss something different from the operation at hand. An open investigation into the disappearance of Naomi Misora was being decided by the group. Nemo had a sour feeling in her stomach. Just days ago, she was nearly killed by Kira, but the only thing keeping that from happening was her shinigami. She had her hands folded in her lap. This nausea only started coming up when L started talking about Naomi.

"Naomi Misora has been missing for four months now. Chances are she's probably dead." Aizawa said.

"If you're right about that, I find it odd that her body has not been discovered." L said. "Nemo, you had mentioned that you knew Naomi before this investigation."

Nemo sighed. Her arms crossed, and she maintained a reserved position. "Yes, we both worked for the FBI. We had assignments together. Most investigations I would've been able to get through without her."

L looked over at Nemo. Her body language was very closed off. She seemed to distance herself from the rest of her colleagues, yet, she seemed so sad for Naomi. He noticed that Nemo didn't seem to eat as much during meetings anymore. He didn't like seeing her sad, but no one seemed to notice her sadness. She continued to work, despite the emotional grief she was facing.

His attention was quickly guided to Watari walking into the room. "Ryuzaki. Something seems to be happening on Sakura TV."

Watari quickly turned on the television, changing it directly to Sakura Television. Nemo gasped as symbols of Kira were scattered around the broadcast. Sakura TV was being held hostage by Kira. The whole thing made Nemo's head spin. This seemed completely out of character for Kira.

"All Sakura TV staff and employers are Kira's hostages." The broadcast said. "We just received an obligation to show you these videos now."

"Kira's hostages?" Aizawa said, confused.

L stared intensely at the screen. Nemo was glued to the screen as well, but she was starting to doubt the believability of the television station.

"Kira sent us 3 tapes. One contained a prediction of criminals who were recently arrested, and those exact criminals died yesterday."

'That could be Kira. But, not Light.' Nemo thought to herself. 'Light Yagami is a lot more careful than this.'

"Kira has instructed us to play the second tape later on today. It should be proof of his powers by predicting another death. We believe it's a message to all people of the world from Kira." The broadcaster said.
