Tokyo was no longer the bright, hero filled city it had once been. Villains ran rampant, vigilantism was on the rise as more than 60% of the old heroes either died or became villains themselves.

Everything changed for the worst after The Fall of All Might. An event that would be printed in history books for generations to come, considering how cataclysmic it had been to the state of the economy and community in the city.

Schools teaching the next generations of heroes came into disrepair, even U.A. became a haunted shell of the once vibrant school it had been. Everyone had lost hope. Instead looking to fill themselves with sorrow, or anger.

And one bright young hero who had taken the grunt of this was Izuku Midoriya.

[H/c] hair tousled in the wind, a mask clumsily covering most of the locks. Sitting above the now crime ridden metropolis was one of the last remaining pro heroes.

[Hero Name].

Armed with only a rapid regeneration quirk and nunchucks, this once hero, now vigilante watched over the city.

There was much going on tonight, as usual, but he wasn't interested in all that. There was one trouble maker he was looking out for, one who he was desperate to save.

[Y/n] couldn't simply live with the idea that his former classmate, a student once so hopeful in imitating his own hero, was now one of the most prolific crime bosses on this side of the city.

It didn't make sense. Deku, once the name of an inspiring soon to be hero, now the brand of heroin he distributes among the streets.

He dropped down, vaulting himself through the window of the building, and into the office of none other than the villain he was looking for.

The once soft face, now hardened by an angular jawline and a scar running across his face and through his eye.

"Izuku"

"I told you not to call me like that, you should stop wasting your time here" Midoriya sighs, looking back down at his desk and the paperwork on it.

This had become a regular occurrence. [Y/n] trying to 'save' Izuku, who clearly didn't want saving.

"Please?" His voice was tired, exhausted almost. It had Midoriya looking up.

"You don't sound like you really believe in it anymore. Finally caught up with the rest of us?" He taunted, his green gaze glaring at the flashy yet worn hero costume the vigilante clung to.

"I- I won't..."

"Sit down before you fall down."

He reluctantly takes a seat. He knew, deep down, that he was no longer the hero he once was, that trying to fight against this onslaught of crime was only breaking him more. His body was marred with scars and burns. His ability to heal leaving its mark in the pain and trauma and physical disfigurement.

"You look like shit."

"Prick.." He mutters, though lowers his head when he sees that dangerous glint in Izuku's eyes, "sorry."

"You still want me to be a hero?" Midoriya sighs, sounding pitiful of the defeated form before him.

"I- yes, of course, I know there's still good in you Izu-" He cut himself off as Midoriya raised his hand.

"Alright."

"Alright? Just like that?"

"Yes. I'll save you."

His eyes widen, his mouth dropping open slightly.

"But I-"

"I'll save you by giving you a chance to join me, I need a good bodyguard." Midoriya smirks, looking over him. He could quite easily see the internal conflict he had just caused, the black bags under those eyes only addigg no to his confidence that he had concurred the hero. "So what will it be?"

[Y/n] froze, his mind buzzing with possibilities. He knew that he wouldn't have the energy to keep going like this for long, he knew, Izuku knew it, hell all of Hosu knew it. And in that moment, his resolve broke. And the villain's grin grew.

".... Okay."
