They had done so well. Months, years, they didn't know, but they had lasted so long. All the seasons twice over at the very least.

When the world ended, when the dead rose, they promised to stick together. And they did.

But it got so much harder when the virus evolved, and the dead started being able to use their old quirks.

They had managed to defeat so many up until now, but facing their old friend, their old lover. It was too much.

It happened in a blur, or at least that's what Kirishima kept telling himself.

One minute he was facing off with an explosion wielding zombie, and a deadened face of the past. He had froze, remembering all the past times with their third love, remembering how when he had turned the two of them couldn't bring themselves to do the deed they needed to. Guess now it came back to haunt them.

A glimmer of gold flashed before him, and he was shoved out of the way. But they all knew that those explosions would shatter the force field. And blue spluttered from the lips of Kiri's last living love.

When his hardened hand finally struck the head of the once fiery blonde, it was too late. The damage had been done, and his love had a gaping bite wound spewing blood from his neck.

His death was not quick.

Kiri remembered, he spent hours cradling the bleeding boy, whispering sweet nothings into his love's ear. Pressing his lips against the now cold one's, before putting his spiked hand through his skull.

Now he sat, two piles of stones in front of him. The tears would not stop, but he knew better than to make a noise.

The past had finally taken his future, and now he was left alone in a barren world.

Skulby- short af ik
Though I kinda like it. If you haven't guessed, the plot line is inspired by Morgan's origin in the walking dead, and the mannerisms of the quirk by Arlo from UnOrdinary
Hope you like it :)
