The next day, Rangle and Caden had finished getting their new addition to the family vaccinated and checked up on. "So, did you tell them what his name was?" Caden asked the female sitting next to him.

She nodded in response. "Yep! His name is Mars." Looking up at him, Rangle smiled. "Do you like it?"

"Y'know, he does look like a Mars. Good naming, honey." As Caden parked the car and got out. "Glad to have you, Mars." He said while going inside.

"Meoww." Mars bellowed.

When they all got upstairs, Rangle got Mars settled in nicely. "Now, this is how you should be livin', little dude."

Caden could notice that only one day into owning Mars, Rangle and the cat had already created a strong bond. He admired that, though. "So, is there anything else you wanted to do?" Asked Caden.

"Well..." Rangle trailed off. "My friends are back in town for a couple nights. They wanted me to go hang out with them." She then paused. "I don't know if that's okay with you, so that's why I'm asking."

Caden smiled. "You don't have to be so submissive when you ask. It's okay if you go, I don't mind. I just want you to have fun." As he bent down and kissed her. "I love you so much, now go have fun." He said, patting her head.

"Okie dokie!" Exclaimed the happy female as she pulled her boyfriend in for a tight hug. "I'll be back tonight, I love you so much too!" She shouted while closing the door.

And just like that, Rangle was gone. Caden looked down at Mars, who was rubbing against his leg. "No, mom's gone for a little bit." He said as he crouched down to pick up the slender feline. "Just for now, though. She'll be back."

.

Looking at the time on his phone, Caden had noticed it was 10:39 at night. He started to get a little worried about his girlfriend's return. I mean surely she had to be heading back soon. And soon enough, there was a knock at the door. His large ears perked up, his tail started to wag slowly. "Oh fuck, finally..." He leaped to his feet and started towards the door. Opening it, he looked to see Rangle. "Fuck I was starting to worry..." Caden trailed off, taking a closer look at his significant other. Something was off.

"..." She looked at him. "Do not be worried, for I am here." Rangle slowly explained, pointing at the floor. "In the apartment..." She said, slightly snickering to herself.

"Are... Are you okay?"

She nodded, showing the hand behind her back. And in her hand, was a large, nearly empty bottle of vodka.

Caden's eyes widened. "Holy shit, Rangle get in here!" He harshly whispered, pointing to her to come inside.

She smiled and shook her head. "I don't feel like it. It's nice out here... My feet are so damn far away... How cool is that, Caden...?"

"Rangle Lynn Collymoore, get in here now." He then grabbed her and held her close to him and shut the door to their apartment. "Or I would've called the police..." He muttered to himself.

Apparently, not quiet enough to just him. "Well the cops have already been called... sooo..." She whispered, giggling.

"What?" He asked out of disbelief. "Do they know you're here?!" Caden started to internally panic. He wasn't ready for another interrogation with the police.

Shaking her head, she told him that they think she still lives up with her parents. "They aren't gonna be very happy..."

He sighed. "I'm not mad at you, I hope you know that..." Pausing, he gestured to their room. "Just... Go lay down, please. I love you, honey..."
