"Scum" Apartments Y/ns Apartment:

"Would you open the door already!" Zavier yells on the other side of the door. "I know you're in there!" Agitation clear in his voice.

"No way! You're crazy and I don't feel like talking to a crazy person anymore than I have to." I yell back as I'm propped against the door.

"If you don't open it now I'll kick it down!" He shouts out. "You've got three seconds."

"Yea like I'd believe that." I roll my eyes.

"3."

Curious I look out the peep hole again to see what he's doing.

"2." He then starts backing up from the door making distance between it and him. 'He isn't really ...right? This door is straight up metal. He's gonna hurt himself..' I watch him a little longer not believe he's going to do it.

"1!" He screams out as he charges at the door full speed.

"ARE YOU STUPID!" I quickly throw the door open as Zavier comes flying into the room, immediately hitting the floor. "Do you have any idea how much pain you'd be in if I hadn't opened it!" I say as throw a pillow from the sofa at him.

"Good thing I have great instincts." He says as he stands up and starts smoothing his hair out. "Now back to the reason I'm here. No thanks to your 'tantrum' we've wasted time." He then starts smoothing his suit out.

"Don't blame me I still haven't forgotten about what you did to me the last time we met." I say making distance in between us. "So you better hurry up and leave. I don't like you." I cross my arms over my chest.

"I don't care if you like me." He lets out a heavy sigh. "That isn't why I'm here. I'm here because I'm pretty sure I warned you about my Father." He says as he makes himself at home taking a seat on the sofa and crossing his legs over each other.

"Yea you did and so what."

"So what?" He says repeating what I said. "You've been pulled into his trap, Y/n. The Game is a trap. It's basically a death sentence." He says looking at me seriously. "I tried to help you last time but I suppose trying to scare you didn't work." He looks away in thought.

"I still don't believe a word you say. Mr.Lodscon would never do anything to put my safety at risk." I say my arms still crossed.

"You obviously don't know the real him. That has become painfully clear to me. He's a psycho not a nice old gentleman." He says getting a bit a annoyed, his eyebrow twitching a bit.

"Whatever, is that all you wanted to say?" I ask while tapping my foot on the floor. 'Im a patient person but this guy pushes it to the max.'

He looks at me for a minute before continuing. "Did you get the letter?"

"What letter?" I ask playing dumb.

"Don't be stupid. I'm your best chance at getting some actual answers here. Now tell me did you get it." He says standing up and walking towards me.

"Hey stay back dude. At least six feet." I say putting my hand up to stop him from coming any closer. "And....yes I did get a letter. Since you want to know so bad."

"Then it's already too late. I can't stop it now." He says sighing and putting his hand up to cover his face.

"What do you mean? Mr.Lodscon said I have until tomorrow to decide." I say confused.

"He was lying. He's supposedly been lying to you for years." He looks at me his usual hardened expression finally softening for the first time. "Look I apologize for how we first met. Im not....well it doesn't matter. But just know from the first second we met I've wanted to help you." He says as he looks down at the floor a bit with a regretful look.

As soon as I see that look on his face I instantly get reminded of Mr.Lodscon and feel the need to tell him it'll be alright. "Hey it's alright. If it's what you thought you had to do then I don't blame you." I say as I fight the urge to run up to him and give him a hug. 'I still can't trust him.'

He looks at me with a bit of an astonished look. "You're....strange." is all he says.

He clears his throat before going back to what we were talking about. "Back to our current matters, since you already have the letter then that means wether or not you say no to my Father you're going either way."

"What? But-"

"They will force you, Y/n one way or another you're getting to Bristolan either by force or by volunteering." He says with firm look. Turning so his back faces me.

"By force...? How would they even do that..?" I question as I think back to my mother's note.

"Well there is kidnapping you. Or there's the second way, which is, they take something valuable from you." He says as he puts a hand on his chin and closes his eyes in thought.

"No this is what I tried not to think of. Something has happened to them." I say as I get hit with a wave of emotions. My eyes start burning from the want to cry.

Zavier faces me again, a slight panic on his face before he quickly composes himself. "I'm guessing that you were faced with the second option.." He says as he looks at me with with his face full of regret. "If I had just gotten here sooner." He bites his lip in frustration.

"They- He took my family from me?" I say quietly before drastically raising my volume. "Mr.Lodscon did?! He took my family??" I yell out as I storm up to Zavier. "Tell me...was it him?" 'It couldn't be! No Mr.Lodscon isn't that type of person-'

"Y/n, calm down alright? Just take a deep breath." He says trying to soothe me down by gently holding my shoulder.

"NO! Don't tell me to calm down Zavier. You don't have that right. Now tell me who it was." I swat his hand off of me. "If they hurt any of them I'll.. I'll." I look down not knowing how to finish my sentence.

"Y/n, just calm down and think. You can get your family back unharmed but.." he sighs again. "You'll have to enter and win the game." He says as he looks down at me.

"No one has even told me what this game is Zavier!" I yell out in frustration. "I don't know anything! It seems like I'm the only one who knows nothing!" I glare at the floor.

"Yea that's how it usually goes for the ones who didn't want to know about it. Alright I'll answer all your questions about it. To make things more clear for you." He says as he sits on the sofa again.

"What is The Game." I start with the most obvious question.

"The Game is exactly what the name implies. A game a very dangerous one." He pauses before he continues, "It's a game of survival."
