after badgering his brother for half a day because jungkook was just being a brat and enjoying getting his hyung angry, plus he was still angry at wonwoo for ignoring him to talk to this guy online, wonwoo finally got jungkook to tell him more about proper etiquette for his first "date" on saturday.

saturday dawned bright and sunny. nervous, wonwoo spent the whole saturday morning pacing up and down in his room, looking at the formal clothes on his bed. he bit his lip, fidgeting occasionally with his phone and scrolling through his messages.

his heart pounding in his chest the closer it got to the said timing, wonwoo tried to fix his hair and adjust his belt, failing miserably.

"don't worry, you'll be fine." jungkook assured, helping wonwoo to gel his hair slightly and cackling, "who would resist a hot dude like you?" sticking his tongue out when wonwoo looked vaguely sick now but still managed to shoot him a death glare, jungkook rolled his eyes, "just chill and be yourself, okay?"

wonwoo nodded, not trusting himself to speak. damn, that would be hella awkward. how could he start a conversation? he didn't even know that guy and had nearly zero social skills but was extremely skilled at being awkward. seems like that guy is really flirty, wonwoo doesn't even know how to reply to him. a mutitude of worries and questions flashed before his mind, making him feel worse.

that's one of the many reasons why wonwoo hated socialising, and talking to strangers. he was like the complete opposite of jungkook who was more of those kinds of people that would bother wonwoo and make him flustered. jungkook would just walk up to some guy, find him cute, and start flirting right away.

wonwoo sighed as he waited for the time to pass, it was twenty minutes away from the time mingyu said his driver would be fetching him, but it seemed like eternity. minutes seemed to drag into hours and wonwoo couldn't stop but keep checking his phone every few minutes. zoning out, wonwoo tried to calm down and empty his mind, but a honk from outside jerked him back with a shock and an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. gulping and hearing his own skyrocketing pulse drumming in his ears, wonwoo hurried down the stairs and corridors of his apartment building and saw a sleek, black limousine parked by the road, and in the driver's side there was a man dressed in a suit and wearing an earphone, but upon seeing wonwoo rush down he looked up and asked, "you are wonwoo, right? mr. kim is awaiting you." nodding quickly, wonwoo boarded the car when the man gestured towards the backseat and closed the partition between them, making wonwoo feel nervous and very much alone.

stepping out of the car, wonwoo gasped at the view when they reached the restaurant. there were bright lights illuminating the modern Japanese restaurant. upon walking in, cool air blasted at him and golden lights shined from above. approaching the counter, a waiter walked up, saw wonwoo and said, "follow me sir, table 17 with mr. kim right?"

puzzled as to how the waiter could recognise him so fast when he haven't even seen him before, wonwoo said nothing and followed, his head swivelling, unable to decide where to look.

"here." the waiter announced after leading wonwoo in front of a private room with doors that looked as if they were made of bamboo. opening the door open for him, the waiter bowed with a polite smile and left wonwoo standing there, his heart palpitating furiously in his chest. he was finally going to meet the guy he was chatting with online. smiling to himself, wonwoo walked into the room, peering left and right slightly to look at the ornaments around them and finally his eyes landed on a man sitting on the right side of the table, his chair leaning back, looking relaxed, he watched wonwoo observe the surroundings with an amused smile.

"hey." wonwoo muttered, turning faintly red at the attention the person was giving him.

"you look even more stunning in real life," the guy commented when wonwoo walked closer and sat opposite him. up close, the guy was breathtakingly handsome. he had dark, brown eyes that were curved into a smile, a sharp jawline, with his black, shiny hair styled, he looked absolutely amazing, along with a charming smile. wonwoo was at a loss about what to say, so he mumbled, "you too."

"really?" the guy smirked, revealing sharp canines and looking extremely appealing, wonwoo's face was glowing red now when the man stared at him. reaching his hand out, he said, "just call me mingyu, pleased to meet someone so pretty like you."

wonwoo wished he could stop, not that he didn't like mingyu's continued compliments and flirty comments towards him, he really didn't know how to answer and didn't want to embarrass himself by becoming a blushing mess. wonwoo merely smiled meekly and looked away, his face burning. god, why was he like this? damn, this was so awkward already.
