A/N: Hihi! If you don't know me IRL this might be a bit confusing but it's here anyway so don't be afraid to follow along. :))
Silence is one of the worst things a person could hear when surrounded by potential murderers. Unnerving silence is consuming, a constant rush of uncomfortable and anxious anticipation.
Not like this fazed Kuno. Not one bit was this young man affected by the dread of empty silence. He seemed to thrive in this setting, constantly on edge and suspicious of everyone. Afterall, he was used to it.
At least that is what he would tell himself.
Kuno's eyes lazily fixed on the unhasty raindrops sliding down the slightly cracked windows of his hotel room. The group of participants was stuck inside for the day, and the rest of Hope's Peak Theme Park was off-limits. Monokuma strongly 'suggested' that they stay inside.
It was most likely the animatronic bear was just bored and desirous of a murder and trial to take place.
Kuno too was itching for some sort of excitement. Not fatal excitement like Monokuma per se, but more of the annoying kind.
Kuno jerked up from his perch on the windowsill abruptly and hurriedly walked over to the hotel room's closet. He pulled out a coat and rummaged in the pockets.
"Aha! Gotcha!" Kuno declared.
In his hand, he held an old kinetic-style watch. The face was large, with no numbers. Instead, lines were displaying what time it would be. For instance, it was currently 1:23 p.m. but Kuno couldn't possibly know that. Kuno couldn't read the watch, but he still kept it, because he insisted "he stole it from a billionaire, and it would be a waste to sell it".
"I should prolly' stuff ya' somewhere, huh?" Kuno said to the inanimate object.
Kuno stuffed his sacred treasure under his pillow before putting on his dark green coat that he probably 'stole' from someone too. Kuno stood on the tips of his toes to reach his hat, his lucky grey Deerstalker.
Kuno exited his room and locked the door promptly.
When he turned around, he saw Makiko, his close friend who was walking down the hall.
"Oh! Makiko, hey!" Kuno called out to her.
She turned around hesitantly before smiling back at him.
"Hey, Kuno.." Lara said falteringly.
She noticed how dressed up he was, she would say he looked like a makeshift Sherlock Holmes.
"I guess you can't go hide out in the haunted house today. Where are you going?" she wondered out loud.
Kuno silently put a finger over his mouth in a 'shushing' motion to get his point across.
Makiko simply nodded before starting to leave again.
"Where are you going? Perhaps we could walk together if our destinations are close!" Kuno suggested happily.
Makiko's eyes widened before quickly returning to their previous state.
"I'm going to visit Miyasato," she said not meeting his gaze.
It hadn't been long since the two boys got into a fight over Lara in the haunted house, and he couldn't help but feel pained that she was subtly siding with him.
But he couldn't let her see that.
"Oh I see, I hope you have a great time!" Kuno winked at her and proceeded on his route more quickly than before.
Makiko was left standing there, feeling slightly distraught. She opened her palm to reveal a crumpled party hat from the party Kuno threw for her.
Why was she doing this to him? She couldn't remember anymore. Had she just found someone better? She was being selfish for what?
