"Darrell! Are you still alive!?" Peter asked through the walkie-talkie. "Yes." Darrell answered him. "What is happening!?" Peter shouted through the walkie-talkie. ¨Four of us have died! What do you think is happening? You idiot!" Darrell yelled back at him through the walkie-talkie. "Don't yell at me!" Peter shouted back then both of them became quiet. He could still hear people being killed on the other side. Aaron, Alex, and Roxie were running away as far as they could get but they knew that running away wouldn't change a thing. The three of them both suddenly stopped in their tracks, Roxie and Alex were being lifted off the ground while something whacked Aaron in the side of his head hard.

He fell down face first onto the ground, blood oozing out of the side of his head. Roxie and Alex were thrown backwards. They landed on the ground hard then they were being dragged backwards, by the legs. Aaron was clawing at the ground, trying to find something to hold onto. All three of them were screaming. Peter could hear the three teenagers screaming. All that was left was Connor, Frank, and Darrell.

"There are only three of us left." Peter heard Darrell say through the walkie-talkie. "Looks like whatever attacked us is gone." He added. Just then, Connor felt something breathing on him but before he could scream, he was lifted toward the ceiling. "No wait, it's back." He said. Frank looked all around for Connor but he couldn't see him. Suddenly, Connor's body landed on Frank, knocking him down to the ground. He struggled to sit up, tossing his body off of him then he screamed.

Frank was thrown into the air, landed on the ground, and then he was being lifted. "NO! NO-" Frank's screams were cut off. "Now it's just me." Darrell told Peter through the walkie-talkie. "Oh no! Please no! Noooooo!" he screamed as he was being lifted up into the air. "Darrell!" Peter shouted through the walkie-talkie. He heard the thumping sound Darrell's dead body made when it hit the ground then there was static and then there was complete silence.

Peter slammed the walkie-talkie to the ground and smashed it with his foot. "We need to get going." He told the other eight teenagers. They turned a corner, and saw a door. Both Peter and Jacob pushed the door open and the other seven teenagers and the dog ran through the door. Peter and Jacob both let go of the door and ran behind the others. "There it is!" Carter shouted, pointing to a red motor-boat swaying in the water, tied to a pole on a wooden deck. All of the teenagers ran toward the boat, their footsteps echoing on the wooden deck. Suddenly, where Kristin just placed her foot, that part of the deck gave way.

She screamed as she felt herself slip. "Help me!" she yelled, hanging onto the rest of the deck with her two hands. Carter turned around and ran to her aid. "Grab my hands!" he told her, lowering his hands to where she could reach them. She grabbed a hold of his hands. Carter lifted her back up onto the deck. They both looked at the other side of the deck then they joined the others on the boat.

"Chase, come on. Get the engine started." Rosina told him. "I'm trying. I'll be amazed if you could do it." He snapped at her. "Sorry. I just really want to get out of here." She said, looking him straight into his dark brown eyes. "We all do." Peter told her. "Uh, Peter, we have company." Austin told him, pointing back toward the shore. Peter looked at what he was pointing at then he saw them. There were five child sized dark figures and six adult sized dark figures.

One of the small figures pointed one of its black fingers in their direction. Peter could hear it hissing, "You all will die!" at them. A big blanket of mist then came between the two groups. As the mist disappeared, Peter saw that the figures had vanished with it. He turned his attention back to Chase and the others.

A strong, thick fog began to cover the water as Chase pulled, pulled, and pulled the cord to the engine. After the fifth time he tried, he decided to try to pull the cord again so he put his hand down into the water with his leather-man jacket sleeve pulled up. All of a sudden, a strong bony hand burst out of the water and grabbed a hold of Chase's arm.

He screamed as the bony hand tried to pull him down into the water. Austin ran over to help him. He grabbed Chase's waist and pulled then after a couple of seconds, the hand let go of his arm and sunk back into the water. Austin was still pulling Chase by the waist, so both of the boys fell backwards.

Both of the boys got up and Austin went over to the engine. He pulled up his Rag and Bone quilted leather bomber jacket sleeve then he threw his hand down into the water. He wrapped his hand around the cord and gave it one good pull. The engine rumbled then it roared to life. The motor-boat took off, soaring across the water. Chase has a Frequent Marcella Men's letter G leather varsity jacket that is black and white.

All of the teenagers looked back at the island, hoping to never be there again. Jacob went over and sat down next to Rosina. He put his right arm over her shoulder and she rested her head on his shoulder. He looked at her then looked ahead. Kristin sat down next to Peter. "Are you okay?" he asked her. "Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks for asking." she told him. Peter stretched out his arms on the edge of the boat, his jean jacket sleeves almost touching the water. Kristin snuggled up next to him and rested her head on his shoulder. Peter looked at her and she looked at him into his dark blue eyes.

Austin zipped up his leather bomber jacket, protecting his body against the wind. The wind was picking up, becoming stronger, and much colder. Rosina and Kristin both snuggled closer to Jacob and Peter and as they did, the two boys wrapped their arm around them and leaned their heads on top of the two girl's heads.

Little did they know that the terror wasn't over. Peter and Jacob would soon be reunited with their father and uncle. Nobody is safe wherever they are while the undead are still roaming the Earth.
