1st person POV:

"It's boring being here." I sighed from my place on the bench, resting my head on my fist.

"Help us with the water then!" offered Ootani, handing a few water bottles.

I instantly jumped on my feet, flinching at the pain in brought, and hopped my way to the fountain with the bottles my friend gave me. Anything but waiting for the entirety of practice on the bench.

While doing my many comes and goes for the water, I heard coach explain that next opponent will be Uzbekistan and they have an incredible stamina. Kinda sad that I won't be able to play against them unless the pain's gone.

Once my water task done, I saw everyone lined up in four different team color.

"You don't necessarily need to use stamina to conquer an opponent with stamina. Also yellow team, it was planned for you to play with Afuro but since she is forbidden to play until new order, she will be replaced with Kobun." I gazed, betrayed, at coach and said man continued his explanations, explaining that everyone was going to run around a square of 15x15m and they'll have to empty a box of tissues positioned at the starting point in order to finally be free of this hell of an exercise.

"Strangely, I take it well to be stuck on the bench now." I mindlessly stated, earning a chuckle from Ootani and a smile from Mikado.

"By the way, where's Ichihoshi?" asked Asuto. He's right tho, where is he?

After that, the hellish training began for the boys. Coach dismissed the girls and I not even five minutes after the beginning, apparently it would take the whole day at most. I took this opportunity, not to got spy on Ichihoshi, I don't even know where he is, but to take a little walk around the campground.

"Hey Afuro! Wait!" I heard a voice from behind me. I turned to the location of the call and noticed Kino. "You wanna go in town? I need to get a few things! Plus, I could keep on telling you more of Endou's and the others adventures!"

"I could never say no to this sweet tea spilling proposition!" I smiled sheepishly.

And so the day went on with us two hanging out in town, laughing about Kino's stories about Endou and the others. We bought aliments for the team, went to take a break with a drink, got to try out some clothes we found cute but didn't buy because none of us had the money for that, and over all, we had a really good time, so much that we didn't even notice that we were in town for almost the whole day, time flies too fast when you have a good time. So when we finally headed back to the campground, it was already noon.

"Maybe we shouldn't have stayed there for so long..." sighed Kino with a smile nonetheless.

"It's the clothes, sure it's that!" I smiled.

"But after all, I got really good pics of you!" she smiled back sheepishly.

"Wait," I gazed at Kino with an uneasy smile. "you took pictures?!! How embarrassing... Don't show them to anyone!" I could feel my face grow hot, I would die of embarrassment if she'd show them to anyone.

"Don't worry, it's our little secret!" she winked but then looked on her side. "Hey, did you hear that?"

I looked only shook my head and so she cautiously walked towards the sound she heard with me behind her. She soon led us to a path surmounted by the remains of a collapsed arch.

"Look over there, under the arch!" I pointed to a box that seemed to be the origin of the sound. We jogged there only to find a bunch of pups huddled and crying inside of the box.
