The sky was crashing.
Literally."Come on!" He yelled, snapping me out of my daze at the falling sky above me. As I tried to move, my feet felt glued to the ground. He swept me off my feet and put me on his back as he ran through the burning city. It was fucking chaos.
It was like the purge. People had masks on, just randomly finding a victim and beating them to death, or worse, and other citizens were finally fighting back with police, some fulfilling the task and killing the corrupted officer before them. I smiled, in a daze, as one of the citizens claimed an officers head. After what felt like forever, we found a safe place, where nobody was. He sat me down and hugged me as tight as he could, crying.
Confused, I looked back at him. His eyes met with mine and without speaking, I could tell why he felt. I sighed and wiped his tears as he sniffed and let go of me.
Nothing made sense.
Why was the sky falling?
Why was it complete chaos?
Why is he saving me?
Why is he cryi-"Badurah Leone Padparadscha Davis!"
The class burst out with laughter.
"Can you tell me WHY you were asleep in my class?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Topaz. I just drifted off..." I said lowly.
"Well don't let it happen again." He mumbled, walking back to his desk and sitting down. I sighed as I looked around the classroom. Everybody was still staring at me, giggling and carrying on about my gov name. The bell rang as everybody left for lunch. I lazily got up and packed my things as I felt a tap on the shoulder. Annoyed and not in the mood for conversation, I swung around and groaned.
"What? You gon make fun of my na-"
I looked up and saw him. HIM. My jaw dropped as he shyly scratched behind his head."You... You were the one in my dreams..."
