Chapter Nineteen

Y'all should rest for today, at 5:00pm we should start setting out the horns. I told the crew.

I looked at him,"You fucked up my high."

Malissa nudged me. I grabbed the same hand and pulled her closer.

"Im going to lay down, do you want to come with me?" I whispered.

She smiled,"No."

I pulled away acting hurt,"Don't come for me when you need me to protect you from the demons at night."

I appeared in my room in the bunker and headed directly to the shower. After washing myself and my hair I fell directly on the bed.

Im hungry as fuck.

I changed my mind, if you bring me some hot food I will protect you tonight. I told her.

She didn't respond. My body started to warm up, I smiled. Was she blushing? She never does that around me.

I sighed, I didn't want to pop up on her. But she does it to me so why not?

Nope, I won't do it.

I closed my eyes.

I jumped up, what the hell? When did I fall asleep? I groaned and held my stomach.

I looked at my watch, 3:15.

I should've slept longer.

I've waited for hours, I won't marry you.

I appeared at one of the fruit stands outside. The murder looked up at me and rolled her eyes.

"Do you have a problem with me? You tried to kill my sons I didn't try to kill yours." I hissed at her.

She tried to walk away but I grabbed her arm,"As of matter of fact I think it's time your earned your keep. Be ready at 5:00."

She snatch away from me,"Or what? You're gonna throw me out?"

"No. But my sons will."

She stomped away as the fruit woman smiled at us.

"It's been hard trying to get them to behave. I think someone has been stealing fruits throughout the night. Even though they are free." She explained.

"John told me they also trying to get in his garden." She added.

I nodded,"I will see to it. Do you have any seeds left? Or anything that requires work?"

She nodded,"I have a lot, just don't have to plant them right now."

"Tomorrow have them all ready lined out. Tell all the other farmers as well." I told her walking away.

I appeared beside Malissa, still eating the apple.

It dropped causing them to pull away.

I don't know what dropped the fast my heart, my blood pressure, or that apple.

Malissa looked shocked. What the hell? Are they in a relationship? That's why he was so aggressive with me?

I felt my face heating up, my tattoos glowed bright. Everything was happening so fast but it looked in slow motion.

"Calm down." She said stepping forward.

I exhaled.

And inhale what seemed like fire.

"Why—" I started, the words wouldn't come out.

"Ok then." I disappeared.

I appeared in my room, the hunger I had was no longer there.
