"So... where are we going?" I asked Chanyeol as we walked.
"It's a surprise." He said, smiling. I huffed. "Don't worry, it's a good one."
"It better be." I crossed my arms.
"It will be, I promise." Chanyeol said. "I wouldn't just take my favourite person to a really bad place, now would I?"
"I don't know, you're pretty derpy. You could think that the place is good but in reality it's bad." Chanyeol pouted.
"Do you doubt my date choosing skills that much?" I nodded. "Come on, I'm not going to get you to be my boyfriend if I take you to terrible places."
"Why are you so determined to be my boyfriend? You do realise I'm not even gay. Has that clicked in your head yet?"
"I'm gay." He paused for a moment. "I have an idea, I can be your exception."
"My what?"
"Your exception. If you're straight, I can be the exception." I laughed and shook my head.
"We'll see."
"That's not a no! Yay!"
"Hey, Chanyeol, when did you realise you were gay?" Given we were walking to wherever this place was I might as well learn more about him.
"Primary school probably. My first crush was a boy." He said. "My first kiss was with a boy too, this kid and I were bored on the bus."
"Really? That was your first kiss was with a random kid on a bus?!"
"Yeah, he went to my school so he wasn't too random." He shrugged. "I kissed a girl once but I didn't like it. My first proper relationship was with a boy too, but he ended it when the school found out."
"Oh, I'm sorry." Chanyeol shrugged and smiled.
"If he didn't end it I wouldn't be single now and then I'd have no chance with you." He said.
"Always looking on the bright side of things, aren't you?" I said.
"Pretty much." He looked up and smiled. "Hey! We're here." I looked up at the building, slightly worried about where Chanyeol had taken me.
"A cat cafe..." I said as I stared at the cafe.
"Yeah, awesome, isn't it?" I felt a smile tug at my lips, not because of the cafe but more because of Chanyeol's excitement. "I figured because you didn't seem to like the cheesy stuff you might like this stuff more."
"I suppose. It's better than what I thought." I shrugged. Chanyeol grabbed my hand and started to pull me inside.
"Come on, the cats won't wait for us." He said.
"I'm pretty sure they will, I think they probably live here or something."
"Yeah, but cats are cute for a short moment in their lives until they grow, if we wait too long they'll be all grown up."
"I don't think kittens grow up that fast..." Chanyeol ignored me as he opened the door to the cafe.
"Look at all the cats, Bacon!" Chanyeol exclaimed, hugging my arm.
"I can see." There were a lot of cats. Everywhere.
"Hi, what can I do for you?" A woman asked.
"Oh, hi, I made a reservation under Park Chanyeol." The woman checked her little clipboard.
"Ah, I see. Ok, well right this way." She led us to a little table on the ground, surrounded by cats. "If you just sit here, do you know what you want?"
"Hot chocolate please." Chanyeol said.
"Coffee please." I said. The woman nodded and walked off, I turned and saw Chanyeol looking at me disapprovingly. "What?"
"Coffee's bad for you." I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"You don't like many things I do, do you?"
"I just don't want my little Bacon-ie to die on me." He said, pinching my cheek and hugging me so I fell over.
"Your little Bacon-ie?" Chanyeol nodded.
"My little Bacon-ie. Because I refuse to give you up to anyone else." He said.
"Usually in these situations, the guy'd care more about the other person's happiness." I said.
"Pfft, I'm not that selfless. I'll shower you with gifts and stuff but I wouldn't do it if I thought it wouldn't make you my boyfriend."
"That's a nice thought."
"Well how many friends have you seen me give gifts to?" He paused. "Don't answer that, that could end badly for me. Let me rephrase that, how many friends would you buy gifts for just for the sake of buying them. Don't lie."
"Not many..." I admitted.
"Exactly." Chanyeol's gaze drifted away from me. "Hey Bacon!"
"Yeah?" He crawled away and quickly returned with a kitten.
"This cat looks like you." He said, smiling.
"I look like a cat?" I frowned.
"Yeah, it's cute, you're cute." He said, patting the cat's nose. For some reason I had a feeling he'd pat my nose if he was allowed.
"But by that logic anything cute looks like me."
"Pretty much." I sighed and shook my head, smiling at Chanyeol's amazing logic. Our drinks soon arrived and Chanyeol's new friend fell alseep in his lap.

"I have to admit, today was fun." I said. Chanyeol was holding my hand and swinging it back and forth.
"Will you be my boyfriend now?" He asked.
"How did I guess you were going to say that?" I said, smiling. The night was getting later and the air cooler, which made me shiver a bit.
"Here." Chanyeol said, unzipping his jacket and handing it to me.
"I'm alright." I said. Chanyeol stopped walking and turned me to face him. He then put the jacket on me himself and zipped it up. After he did, he smiled and pat my head.
"All better." He said.
"But now you'll be cold."
"If you hug me I won't be." He smiled before wrapping his arm around me.
"Fine, but only because my house isn't far away." I said.

"Aww, you weren't lying when you said your house wasn't far away." Chanyeol pouted.
"No I wasn't." I smiled.
"Thank you for this fun day." Chanyeol said, hugging me.
"Wait, why are you thanking me?" Chanyeol shrugged. "Well thank you for today, it was fun. And better than I expected."
"That's good. Now go inside before you catch a cold." Chanyeol said. "I'll see you at school."
"Bye." I then walked inside.
"Who was that?" My mum asked, poking her head out from the kitchen.
"Chanyeol, he's the new kid I was telling you about."
"Well aren't you going to let him in? It's going to snow soon."
"Really? He just left." I said. "Hang on, I'll go see if he's far away." I ran outside and saw Chanyeol at the end of the street. "Hey Chanyeol! Wait up!" Chanyeol stopped and turned.
"Bacon? What's wrong?" He asked.
"It's going to snow soon so come stay at my place for the night." I said.
"You want me... to stay over at your place... for a whole night?" Chanyeol asked. I nodded and a huge grin erupted on his face. "Thank you snow!"
