Liam's bedroom was Spartan-ish with grey painted walls and ceiling, a door leading to the bathroom, cream coloured carpet, a single book case and a wardrobe pressed against the wall as well as a California King sized bed with black sheets.
"Get changed." I whirled around towards him, my eyes landing on the scrunched up t-shirt in his hands. No fucking way.
"I'll sleep in these." I exclaimed, gesturing to my outfit.
Liam took three deliberate steps towards me. "It's a t-shirt, Cora." Liam stopped in front of me as I gazed up at him cautiously. "I'm not asking you to strip naked."
I shook my head adamantly, "I'll sleep in the clothes I'm wearing."
"So you'd rather be uncomfortable for the rest of the night?" Liam wondered, his head cocking to the side as he glared at me, no doubt annoyed by my stubbornness. I was 100 percent adamant that I was not changing my clothes. There was no way.
"Cora for fuck's sake, just change." He growled, shoving the t-shirt into my hands as I debated whether or not I should throw the damn thing at his head."I'm not changing in front of you!" I blurted, noticing how he was still in the room and not even bothering to turn around. "Turn around!"
"It's my room." Liam pointed out, smirking as I once again debated throwing something at his head....maybe my shoe?
"Turn around!" I demanded, glaring at him. "I'm not changing in front of you!"
Liam stormed towards me, his grip on my hair forcing my eyes to look at his as he practically snarled in my face. "You're trying my patience, Cora. Just get changed and go to sleep."
"Where am I supposed to sleep?" As soon as I asked the question, I knew the answer. "No."
"It's big enough for two people." Well yes, his bed was big enough for two but that was beside the point. "I'm not going to fondle you when you're sleeping if that's what you're worried about."
I knew he wasn't going to drop it and I was slowly becoming too tired to argue. "Fine."Liam's t-shirt was warm, comfortable and smelt like citrus, the sea and unadulterated masculinity.....not that I would ever tell him that. The dark fabric fell down just before my knees, covering my panties from his view. I stood at the edge of the bed, my arms crossed over my chest as I tried not to stare at Liam's half naked muscular body; the strange tattoos on his upper chest and shoulders: black whorls of ink and the fact that apart from boxers all he was wearing was a pair of loose fitting grey sweatpants.
"Are you going to stand there all night?" Liam asked, unbothered by my half-ass attempt to deny the fact that I was staring at him.
"No?" I mentally slapped myself for sounding so unsure but the truth was, I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying.
"You can sleep standing up if you want, but you might find it a bit difficult."
I stayed still....frozen almost as the second reason I didn't want to get into the same bed with Liam was the fact that he slept around a lot.... according to rumours.
He'd never said anything about it....but he also never denied it.
"Just lay down and go to sleep, Cora." Liam muttered as I slowly climbed into the bed, wondering what would happen if I put a pillow in between us. He would probably move it, all while claiming that the bed was big enough for two people to sleep together and not touch each other.I took one last look at Liam's bedroom, well aware of Liam behind me as I closed my eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.
