The typical tap of the keyboards surrounding me echoed through my ears as I waited... waited... waited... lunch didn't seem to come fast enough. My fingers pushed my neatly curled fringe from my face, my long chocolate hair was tied neatly into a bun.

I rummaged around my desk, desperate for something to do. The noise of ruffling paper disappeared into the typical office void as I searched high and low. My monitor glared at me. How did I manage to complete my work so fast? That's new...

I slumped in my seat, skimming through old emails to find something, anything, to do! Time seemed to pass slowly. My empty inbox taunting me. Imagine if my boss saw me.. He would think I was slacking off.

Boredom announced its presence with the long sigh that barged through my lips. The moment it hit 12 I made my escape, rushing to one of our many break rooms. I always went to this one in particular.. it was quiet, and a certain lovely lady would often make an appearance.

Knowing her routine, I carefully flicked on the small, red coffee maker. It hummed a tune with its whirring sound as hot water dripped into my cup. The boiling liquid soon gaining a pretty caramel colour as it finished my drink.

Before I did anything else, I slipped in a refill. I made sure it was the favourite of the woman I seemed to admire. She seemed to quite enjoy the chocolate best. It wads simple and sweet!~ I noticed she seemed to enjoy the simple things. On the rare occasion I had papers to deliver, she quite liked seeing how I organised them. Neatly stacked and ladled with colourful sticky notes.

She knew little of me, but It wasn't an issue. I'm only being a good co-worker after all! ~ It's my job!

I took my seat, my face glued to my phone as I flicked through app after app. Today seemed to be going as per usual.

The door swung open as the busiest woman in the office rushed in. Like every day she came to make a drink, always surprised when the coffee maker was ready for use. Something about the look on her face made every day worthwhile. ~

Her fingers rummaged around the machine, ensuring  the right refill was in. Yet again she had surprise on her face as she did so. Every week was the same, she was always startled by the maker. I couldn't help but enjoy the confusion on her face.

She placed a white cup beneath the spout. Her finger poked the buttons with great care. As the machine began to whir, the brunette noticed my presence. She looked right at me. I met her gaze with a sweet smile, my phone's screen slowly fading to black. "Hello!" I greeted her warmly. We didn't speak often. I don't even think she knows my name.

I'm only admiring her hard work. That's it!

"Oh- Hello." She gave a small wave as the machine clicked. Her hands carefully guiding the hot mug to her seat. Today she had the opportunity to take a real break, and something possessed her to sit across from me.

I had no idea what to say. Carefully I took a sip of my coffee. It burnt my throat as I did so, yet that was no surprise. It was steaming hot.

Finally some words left my lips, "So... How is work?"

What kind of question is that?

She gave me a gentle smile. Her voice was as sweet as honey, yet quite robotic. "The same as usual." Her voice trailed off into a beautiful sigh.

I tapped my piping hot mug, staring into the creamy liquid. It was quite awkward. We never had opportunity to speak. Despite being in the same meetings and doing similar work, we hardly got the opportunity to say even a single word. But when we did speak... It was like magic!

How could a stranger make me feel like this..?

Sometimes I would notice her staring.. Her eyes meeting mine always left a strange feeling. She was like a deer in headlights each time I caught her gaze. I could never get her out of my head, despite how little we know each other. We were strangers and yet she was all I could think about. It is strange, I admit...

The silence grew between us. "Mr Han has a meeting planned soon, does he not? Is it another personal project?" I questioned, looking back up at her.

She had held her cup to her lips, carefully placing it back down with great care as I spoke up again. "Yes, I believe so. I don't believe it to be another cat project." Her words where quick and sharp, despite how sweet they tasted.

"I see.. So it's something useful for once?" I chuckled, awkwardness escaping through my words. I tried to be light hearted, but that was difficult. The whole office knew how Mr Han was.. I- we could hardly imagine what insane tasks he gave her.

"I am hoping so." She responded so simply. That awkward air only growing stronger.

I noticed her Phone's screen light up. Her face glowing with it. Her thumb quickly swiped open an app. I tried to keep my eyes away. It was clearly private. Yet... No.

The silence grew as we sat there, her thumb swiping swiftly across the small device. Soon I found myself doing the same. I was met with a funny little app. 'Talk To Pretty Boys'? What kind of game is that?

Before I knew it I had installed, what I thought to be, a dating sim. As the silence grew longer and longer I made an account.

Code flashed up, if only for a second, before I was talking to a stranger.

I can't believe I agreed to something like this. Going to a stranger's home? What is wrong with me? Well... It's too late to turn back now.

I forced open the door, checking my conversation with 'Unknown' ads I did so. It was the correct place... Oh god. What am I doing?

My screen flashed as I stood in the mystery apartment. A new chatroom? That's strange. I watched the chat speed past for the few seconds the group where unaware of me. They seemed beyond startled by my presence.

The messages continued to speed past, I could hardly keep up. I hardly said a word until...

Miss Kang?

What do I do?

Do I say something?

MC: Such a pretty photo..
Why did I say that?

Oh god-

The chat continue to slide away from me. The gorgeous brunette ignoring me completely. Of course that Seven fellow probably knows I work with her.. I would have thought he'd say something. Is that not important?

I continued to loose myself in their chaotic messages. It was none stop.

Eventually Mr Han asked another question. The final one.

Jumin Han: What do you say? Do you care to join the RFA?

MC: Yes, I think I will
