2 ~What a Strange Place~

My eyes shot open to the deafening screech of my alarm. The blinding light of a stranger's home forcing away that sleepy feeling. I slowly rose from the bed. I was surrounded by belongings that weren't mine.

I scrambled for my phone, opening up the mystery app. A smile creeping onto my lips as I thought about my silly, little work crush-

It's not a crush.

My legs carried me to my clothes, haphazardly strewn across the desk chair across from the bed.

Carefully I buttoned my shirt, pulling my tight skirt over my hips. My fingers firtled around my blazer pocket, pulling out the only makeup I had on hand. It'll have to do..

I rushed down to my car. My legs carrying me down step after step. This place was rather large, I could have got lost finding my way out! I eventually found my way, forcing myself into the driver's seat. Before I even thought about setting off, I slapped makeup on my face. Just eyeliner will have to do..

My fingers pinched a pretty, cherry lipstick left in the cup holder of my car. It was an old favourite of mine. I twisted it slowly. It pushed my lips as I smeared it across them. I smacked my lips in the mirror, using my hands to scrape away a smudge of colour. The teeny tiny mirror in my car was practically no use. I may have been better off doing my makeup blindfolded!

I began to drive under the endless sunrise. The clouds forming white smears as I sped through the busy, morning streets. My eyes stayed focused on the road, but my head was getting lost in those fluffy, white smears. Those cotton candy clouds consumed my thought. Forcing me to focus on a stranger I had admired for a little too long.

I couldn't help thinking about her. I'm still not sure why.. She wouldn't leave my head! I just want to be her friend. It doesn't seem like she has many.. That's it!

Before I knew it I had arrived at work. The apartment was much closer than I thought. That's quite handy to know.

My legs practically dragged me to the office door. I felt like a puppy dog, I was just so excited to get to work! Perhaps I could tell Jaehee today..

I took a long sip of coffee. The maker we had in the office was quite lovely I must admit. The creamy toffee liquid burned my throat as I let the pale mug clink against the dark, wooden table. My eyes wondered to my phone as a strange number began ringing.

The phone tenderly pressed against my ear. A sweet voice echoed through the silver device. It was like honey. "Hello, is this MC?"

"Yes this is, MC." I responded simply. My heart began to thump against my ribs rhythmically as I realised who was calling. As her voice made my head spin. For some bizarre reason I was quite relieved that I used a nickname. Why was telling her such a frightening thought?

"Ah, good. Luciel gave the members your number. I was just calling to check it was correct." Her voice was like a sickly sweet machine. She was so robotic, yet her words tasted like strawberry's dipped in chocolate. How did no one see what I saw?

"Do you have any questions about the RFA?" She questioned caringly. I could hear a faint clacking of a keyboard. Even now she was working hard!

"Tell me more about Miss Kang.~" I answered, a tone that could only be described as flirtatious. Of course I was just teasing! That's all it was. Friendly teasing.

"Do you mean me..?" She sounded as though she was caught off guard. It was cute! I couldn't help but ask about her, this was my chance to be her friend!

Why does she make me feel like this? We hardly know each other...

Yet again I was trapped in my small, black box on wheels. The starry sky shooting overhead as I made my way to another new place. The street lights flickered on as I drove, they sparkled in the dark just like the stars. Yet from the car.. They were all golden blurs.

The small shops and late open restaurants lit up the streets in a rainbow of colours. Eventually my car came to a halt, in the car park of yet another busy restaurant. I was here for another date.. with another man.. I was begining to loose hope. It had been so long since I liked someone. It felt like forever ago.

I'm begining to think I don't even know what love is now.. haha.

That's silly!

I wondered in, blindly looking for my date. All I remember is he was in a suit. Just like everyone in this damn building!

I stood awkwardly scanning the red and gold décor for a man. Surely he'd recognise me! I told him what to look for!

A tight, black dress with thin straps hugged my body. A shawl loosely dripped from my shoulders, and my hair was tied into a bun, just like I did for work. Yet i decorated it with a silver clip, perfectly paired with the shining jewellery across my person. Silver stars were scattered across my body.

I don't know why I bothered dressing up so nicely.. We all know where this is going to go.

Eventually a white haired man approached. His eyes were a piercing red. My amber Eyes darted up at him, his long ponytail trickled down his suit. He was rather handsome.. Where had I seen him before?

"You're MC, right?" His voice was smooth like butter. It was absolutely wonderful!

"Yes, you must be.." I paused, quickly racking my brain for his name.

"Hyun?~" He laughed. It was a deep, beautiful laugh.

"Yes.." I said, hanging my head low with embarrassment. Then it clicked. That name. he's-
