Kristoff POV
"Good news Sir. They've hired a replacement for me yesterday. He will start today." - Mark
Kristoff looked at his watched and creased his forehead "It's 8:00am. Where is he?" irritation is evident in his voice.
"He should be here soon. Maybe he got caught in traffic." patuloy na pagpapaliwanag ng kanyang secretary.
I need to try to calm down. It took months to find this dude and I have to remind myself that I need him to assist me with all the future deals thats coming. Ayaw ko man aminin pero mas kailangan ko siya more than he needs me right now.I need to put my best and nicest self forward so he wont quit on me in an instant. Argh! This is really frustrating!
All I hear is the ticking of the clock. I hate when people don't show up for work on time. I mean this is his first day of work for pete's sake!
"It's f*cking 8:05am! Where the hell is he?" I can't stop myself from raising my voice.
Halos malaglag ang dala dalang mga papeles ng aking secretary ng mapasigaw ako.
"I..I'll call him Sir and ask him where he is. I'll be right back!" sabay mabilis na pagalis ni Mark sa aking office.
If only I have the choice to fire that newbie right now, I'll f*cking do it!
Lucky's POV
"Manong para po!" Bakit ba naman kasi ang late ko nagising?! Magtataxi sana ako pero naubos naman ang pera ko kahapon kaya ito ako ngayon. Halos makandadapa dapa ako kakatakbo. Wala na ako pakielam kung mukha akong basura ngayon dahil siguradong tagaktak ang pawis ko.
"Hi! Goodmorning! I'm here to go to the CEO's office as his personal secretary." Muntik ko na makalimutan ibahin ang boses ko. Buti nalang kahit hingal na hingal ako e naalala kong magboses lalaki
"Ah, Sir Santos? Yes, his been expecting you. Go to the elevator on your right and press the 27th floor. That's the CEO's office." sabi ng front desk sakin.
Wow, isang buong floor sa kanya lang? Bongga!
I went inside the elevator and pressed the 27th floor. I looked at my watch and freaked! Grabe 8:30am na! Patay ako neto. First day ko palang late na agad. Baka unang araw ko palang e masesante na ako.
"Ting" Dahil sa matinding kaba at pagiisip di ko namalayang nandito na ako. Pagkabukas ng pinto ng elevator isang malaki at mahabang hallway ang makikita mo. Habang naglalakad, iba't iba paintings na alam mong mamahalin ang makikita. Halong gold and black details ang makikita mo sa buong floor. It exudes wealth, power and masculinity everywhere you look. At the end of the hallway, bumukas ang napakalaking pintuan at nakarinig ako ng dumadagundong na sigaw at lumabas mula dito ang isang matangkad na lalaki na makikita mong kabado.
"Hi, Good Morning! My name is Lucky Santos. I'm here for the personal secretary position"
He looked at me from head to toe and stared at me for awhile. Naku. Sana hindi niya mahalata.
"Lucky Santos? Mr. Lucky Santos?" nagtatakang tanong sa kanya ng kaharap
"Y..Yes Sir." napalunon ako sa kaba "I'm sorry Sir for being late. I woke up late and got caught in traffic. Pasensya na po. Hindi na po mauulit." sabay yuko ko. Hindi ko na matake ang pagtitig niya saken. Please Lord sana po hindi ako mabuking!
"Hmm..I've been trying to call you. It keep on saying, it's unattended." Naku patay. Yung lumang number niya pala nalagay niya sa application. At hindi pa sya nakakabili ng bagong phone.
"I'm sorry Sir. My phone broke yesterday and I didn't get a chance to buy a new one. I'm so sorry"
He was still staring at me when we heard his intercom. Dali daling pumunta dito ang lalaki para sagutin ito.
"Yes, Sir?"
"Did that new guy arrive yet? It's 8:40am!!! If he doesn't get here in 5 minutes consider himself fired!!!" Napapikit nalang yung lalaki sa lakas ng boses nung nasa kabilang linya. Tinignan niya ako at nagbuntong hininga at ngumiti ng tipid.
"Listen, That's Mr. Davenport and he's been waiting for you for awhile. He's very mad right now because he hates people that are late the most. So once we get in I'll introduce you to him. Don't say too much and don't look at him in the eye do you understand?"
Napatango nalang ako sa kanya. He then opened the door. As I was walking behind him, halos wala akong ibang marinig kundi ang malakas na tibok ng puso ko sa kaba.
"Sir, Sh..I mean he's here. Mr. Lucky Santos. Your new personal secretary" He asked me to come forward and show my myself. After I bow my head, nagkamali akong napatingin sa mukha niya.
No way! It's him. I'm so dead!
Kristoff POV
I heard the door open. Of course I know he's here. I heard voices a few minutes ago. He's probably making up excuses why he is late. Damn excuses!
"Sir, Sh..I mean he's here. Mr. Lucky Santos. Your new personal secretary" as I heard Mark mention his name.
Lucky huh? That's an odd name for guy.
I usually hate formal introductions with my employees because it's such a waste of time but for some reason I was curious on who is this. Mark walked to the side and this little guy walked up and bowed a bit. He then raises his head and our eyes met.
I saw the hesitation in those eyes and bowed down very quickly.
I smirked.
I stood up from my chair and offered my hand for a handshake.
"Welcome to the company "MR." Santos"
This is going to be fun.
