"I'm disappointed, if they're this weak," huffed Papa, shaking his head as he turned around from Kuroko. "Maybe the Generation of Miracles are all kids."
The Seirin regulars snickered behind him, but then took notice of Kuroko, who had barely visible narrowed eyes observing the tall Senegal player.
"To be honest," said Kuroko, getting Seirin's attention. "I am getting quite annoyed."
"Heh," grinned Kagami, them all stepping out to start the first preliminary match against Shinkyō. "Then we'll show him how it is to face against children."
"Please restrain yourself from calling me a child, Kagami-kun," said Kuroko, giving him a side glance, which gave the players a bit of a shiver.
"Wari," smiled Kagami at him, but then raised an eyebrow at his partner. "Yo, you good? That comment isn't really getting to you that bad, is it?"
"Of course not," said Kuroko, but his eyes were watching something, or someone, else on the side. "I dislike being called out on my height, but that is not the reason."
The Seirin regulars looked at each other in confusion, but the whistle was blown, and they walked to the middle.

The match against Shinkyō went as expected for Kuroko, but surprisingly well, according to the other Seirin players.
The players of Shinkyō all looked either annoyed or disappointed, but Kuroko really didn't take any care of them right now.
'The Miracles may be different, but they are still my friends,' Kuroko looked to the side of the court, eyeing for what he saw before, but saw none that he wanted to see.
"Gather!" called the referee, and Kuroko turned back.
"Thank you for the match!" bowed both teams before heading back to their benches.
"Great job, everyone!" grinned Riko. "First match of the Preliminaries is finished!"
"Yeah," grinned Hyūga with a nod. "It went better than I first thought." The team turned towards Kuroko, who was staring at the bench until he noticed the glances and looked up. "All thanks to Kuroko!"
"Eh?" said Kuroko, confused, and tilted his head.
"You were amazing on court, Kuroko!" grinned Koganei at him.
"Yeah," Izuki agreed with a nod. "But was there a reason for you to suddenly play that much in the match? Did 'Otō-san's' comment get to you?"
"Iie, the comment was annoying, but those sorts of things don't get to me," answered Kuroko. "But shall we head back now?"
"Ah, yeah," nodded Riko, turning back to the team. "Get your things, get changed, and we'll head back!"
"Hai," nodded the others, and they all walked out and to their locker room.
"Kagami-kun," said Kuroko, taking up his bag after he finished changing.
A small jump of the redhead's shoulders came before he spun towards the teal-haired boy with a glare.
"Stop that already!" barked Kagami, but Kuroko didn't give any reaction.
"I have something I need to check before we leave," explained Kuroko, making Kagami raise an eyebrow. "I will meet you at the entrance doors." With that, Kuroko walked out the door, Kagami watching with a raised eyebrow until the doors closed.
