Harry's POV

Louis invited me to a carnival. He and I started talking a lot, especially after what I'd told him about Gemma. I think he actually cares for me, and if he does I'm incredibly grateful. I've actually felt happy after this past year of being afraid all the time. I finally spoke up, and he makes me comfortable. I got ready for the carnival and Mom helped me also, fixing my hair. "You need to do it more," she told me. "It'd look way lot better without it so unruly."

But Louis' told me he likes my "crazy" hair. I think that's all the clarification I need. Once the doorbell rung Mom started to cry hysterically and hug me saying that I'd "grown up." She kisses my forehead, staring longingly into my eyes just like any other time I'm doing something for the first time. "Be careful alright? No sex." Truth is i've already done that, And I thought I'd end up back to my quiet self if it wasn't for Louis' radiant energy.

"There is a lot of rides," Louis told me. "And I'm going to take you on every single one of them." I smiled at him and nodded, accepting the hand from him. We walked our way there, and when he got to the front Louis took out his stack of cash and handed it to the lady at the booth. "Where'd you get all that?" I asked him. Louis smirked and took our wrist bands from the lady and also our tickets and helped my band on. "I have my ways." Is all he said.

We rode this one rollercoaster that when all the way back and swung in a circle before going forward and I swear I would've passed out if it weren't for Louis' hand on mine. When I threw up though he decided that that would be enough rollercoasters for tonight and suggested we go get some food. I ordered a funnel cake and donuts, something I hadn't had in awhile and Louis stole a few from me, which rewarded himself all his fries taken away by me. Louis didn't seem to mind though, if anything it seemed he enjoyed watching me eat everything. After I ate he ordered me some cotton candy and I was for sure believing he was spoiling me with all these sweets. But I wasn't complaining, later on he promised we'd go to his house and get some dinner from his Mom. I remembered him talking about his siblings so I asked if she'd mind, being the time we were out, wouldn't she have to put him to bed. But he assured me not.

Louis dragged us to one of the games and I laughed. "Lou, I cannot win games for shit."

"Oh I know, I'm going to win you something." He told me. "You don't have to." I said.

"I want to." He replied before taking a ring from one of the guys. You had to toss the ring on a water bottle and if you got it done three times in a row, you'd win a prize. I wasn't all that shocked when Louis'd won. He cheered loudly and I clapped, accepting a hug from him. I liked to see him happy. I've never seen him smile so much, and then he handed me a big white teddy bear and I gasped. "Louis.."

"Go on, I want you to have it." He said. I smiled and hugged the bear close to my chest, and this felt like the biggest I've smiled out of this whole year, and the happiest I've been. Next Louis took us on the ferris wheel, but not before grabbing another cotton candy and hotdog. We sat on the ferris wheel and I clutched the bear, accepting a bite from Louis' hotdog. "Thank you for doing this." I said.

"You don't have to thank me. I just wanted to take you out."

"This was a date?" I asked nervously.

"If you want it to be." He answered.

"I think I want it to be." I mumbled. Louis smiled. "Then it will be."

Suddenly I felt an urge in my lower gut, and honestly Louis looked really kissable right now. I've never felt this before, and the way he was looking at me wasn't helping-Wait he's looking at me? "Can I kiss you?" He asked me.

Oh shit.

"Uh...um-y-yeah sure." I said. Louis leaned in slowly and I stayed in my spot, waiting for his lips to be against mine until they finally were. I shut my eyes and brought my hand up to his neck, playing with the little hairs that were there. I slipped my tongue into his mouth and he let me, and it felt like I had opened a whole new gate that made this even more romantic than it already was. And the way that we were basically sucking our faces off weren't in a "sexual" way it was more of a platonic kiss. We pulled away when the person in charge of the ferris wheel started to yell at us but I couldn't help it.

I never thought that I'd actually be willing to talk to anybody at all this year, but Louis made me feel like everything was okay, and that everything would be okay. And I really hope it will.
