•Four•

Stefan and I were at the party that Caroline told us about.

We were currently listening in on Elena and Bonnie's conversation.

"Just admit it Elena" Bonnie said.

"Okay, so he's a little pretty" Elena admitted.

"He has that romance-novel stare. 'Stefan looked deep into her eyes, piercing her very soul " Bonnie laughed.

Stefan and I started to walk over but Caroline stopped us.

"Hey, you made it" She smiled.

"We did" Stefan Said.

"Well, let's get you a drink" She said, ignoring my presence just like everyone else.

"Well i'm-" Stefan began.

"Oh come on"

Caroline got Stefan a drink and then he walked away to find Elena.

"I'm sorry about him" I apologised.

"What do you mean" Caroline asked.

"I can tell you're interested in him, but unfortunately he's taken an interest in Elena"

"I thought so. It's just annoying, it's always Elena"

"I know what you mean, I had a friend like that"

Me and Caroline instantly became friends, I know she may seem annoying but honestly I think she's just an insecure girl who wants to be the first choice for once, and I can understand that.

We clicked straight away, we understand each other and I can tell we're gonna be good friends.

Me, Caroline, Bonnie and Matt were all talking, I think they're trying to get to know me.

"So Amora, have you got any family here?" Matt asked.

"Uh no, my parents passed away and so did my sister"

"Oh I'm sorry, you don't have to talk about it"

"No it's fine. My parents just died of age which was incredibly sad but at least it wasn't a bad way of dying. My sister was murdered but uh- i don't really like to talk about that part" I told them.

"I'm really sorry, Amora" Bonnie said apologetically.

"It's fine, really. I was really depressed at first but Stefan helped me through it"

"Yeah you two seem really close"

"Yeah, he's my best friend. I don't know what I would do without him"

"Best friend? Is that all?" Matt asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"It's just... you look at him like......" Matt began.

"Like you're in love with him" Bonnie said.

"What? No.. we're just best friends"

"I need to go find someone, i'll be back" Matt told us before walking off, probably trying to find Elena.

"I need to find someone aswell" Caroline walked, obviously meaning she was gonna go and find Stefan.

"Sorry to leave you alone Bonnie but i'm gonna go too" I smiled.

I was a little bit away from Stefan and Caroline, just so I could hear what they were saying without them seeing me.

"Hey, there you are. Have you been down to the falls yet? Because they are really cool at night and I can show you if you want" Caroline asked.

"I think you've had too much to drink" Stefan told her.

"Well, of course I have. So..."

"Caroline. You and me, it's not gonna happen. I'm sorry"  He said before walking away.

I walked up to her to make sure she was okay.

"Hey Caroline, are you okay?"

"Yeah i'm fine" She said sadly.

"Did Stefan say something?"

"Yeah... but it doesn't matter" She laughed quietly.

"It does matter, but don't worry about it Care, you will find someone who is right for you, i promise" I smiled.

"Thank you, Amora" She smiled back to me.

"Somebody Help!" I heard Elena scream.

I looked over to where the scream came from and I saw her and her brother holding a girl.

"Vicki? Vicki, what hell?!" I heard Matt say.

I ran over and stood next to Stefan.

"It's her neck, something bit her. She's losing a lot of blood" Elena said.

Stefan and Matt made eye contact and then Stefan started to walk away and grabbed my hand so I could go with him.

We ran back to the Salvatore House and when we saw Zach he was confused.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"Somebody was attacked tonight zach, and it wasn't me or Stefan" I told him.

We went up the stairs to go into Stefan's room.

We both turned around when we saw a crow come out of the window and watched it land on the other side.

We could feel a presence so we turned around.

"Damon"

"Hello, brother" Damon smirked.

"The crow's a bit much, don't you think?"

"Wait till you see what I can do with the fog"

"When did you get here?" I asked.

"Well, I couldn't miss your first day of school" Damon answered.

"Your hair's different. I like it" Damon said to Stefan.

"It's been 15 years, Damon"

"Thank God. I couldn't take another day of the '90s. That horrible grunge look... did not suit you. Remember, Stefan, it's important to stay away from feds"

"Why are you here?" Stefan questioned.

"I missed my little brother and his best friend that follows him around"

"You hate small towns, it's boring, there's nothing for you to do" I stated.

"I've managed to keep myself busy"

"You know you left that girl alive tonight. That's very clumsy of you" Stefan remarked.

"That could be a problem... for you"

"Why are you here now?"

"I could ask you the same question. However, i'm fairly certain your answer can be summed up all into one little word.... Elena"
