Nash and I wait outside Waffle House, waiting for Avery to pull up any second now. I glance at Nash. He has a big mega-watt smile stretched across his face. He looks practically giddy.

"Why do you look so happy?" I ask him, curious.

"Oh, no reason in particular." He replies, looking down at me with a glint in his eye that tells me there's more than he's letting on. Before I can question him further, Avery's car pulls up beside us. She steps out of the car, looking nervous.

"Avery, this is Nash. Nash, this is my best friend, Avery." I tell her, though she hardly needs an introduction.

"It's great to meet you." Nash says, giving her a hug. Avery blushes a deep shade of red. I roll my eyes.

"Hi-i-i, Nash." Avery stumbles. She gazes, mesmerized at his face. I don't think I have ever seen Avery like this. She is usually very loud and assertive, while simultaneously being calm, cool, and collected. Her flawless brown hair floats in soft curls that travel down to the middle of her back. Her hazel eyes look alive and vibrant, like always. Her light blue sundress shows off her curves and looks great on her. I will be surprised if Nash didn't fall instantly in love with her, like most boys do. Meanwhile, my boring brown hair falls in waves down past my shoulders. My green dress match my green eyes, but that's about all it does for me. I look down at my black shoes, realizing that they don't match my dress at all. I sigh inwardly, not really caring anyway. I don't know much about fashion.

"Shall we eat?" Nash asks, looking expectantly at me.

"Sure." I reply. Avery finally breaks her eyes away from Nash's. She walks over to me and links her arms around mine, and then we all walk into Waffle House.

"Well, Avery, it was really nice meeting you. You're a lovely girl and I hope i can see you again soon. " Nash tells Avery as we stand in front of Avery's car. He gives her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. Avery beams.

"Thank you for breakfast, Nash. It was very fun. See you later, Siena. Sorry that I have to go, but my mom wants me to do some chores today." Avery says, rolling her eyes. I give her a quick hug.

"See you later, Aves." I tell her. She smiles, and then starts her car and backs out of the parking lot. As she disappears around the bend, I turn to Nash. "So, how was that?" I ask him.

"It was fine. She was a little less crazy than you made her out to be, Siena. I liked her." He says, smirking.

"Oh, you haven't seen the half of it." I tell him. He smiles at me.

"So, what do you want to do?" He asks me, a suggestive grin on his face. I glare at him in response.

"Um, I don't know. Do you want to go do something? We could go see a movie, or go on a walk...?" A very large rumble of thunder echoes through the street. "Well, we can scratch that off the list." I say, a hint of smile on my face.

"Movie sounds good to me." Nash says, his eyes twinkling. He extends his arm. I give him a look. "Come on, can't I be a gentlemen and escort you to the movie theater that's right over there?" He asks, looking a little hurt. I roll my eyes.

"Okay, fine." I say, taking his arm. His answering grin is dazzling. He leads me to the next shopping center, where the large movie theater is located. "Which movie do you want to see?" He asks me as we near the theater.

"Um, I really don't care. Whatever you want is fine with me." I tell him. He nods.

"Do you like horror movies?" He asks, suddenly excited.

"Yeah, totally." I answer. It's true, I do love horror movies, but they also scare the shit out of me.

"Then this will be fun. " He says, his eyes bright. I laugh weakly.
