I sit at a table all by my lonesome, waiting anxiously for Nash to show up.
What if he blows me off?
What if he forgets?
What if this was just some big mistake? Maybe I should just go home...
Just as I was thinking about getting up and leaving, Nash appears in the doorway, his eyes shining bright blue. He scans the small crowd and spots me quickly. He smiles and begins to walk towards me.
"Hi." He says once he reaches me.
"Ciao" I say coolly.
"That means hello, right?" He asks. I nod.
"So, where are we going?" I say.
"Follow me, ma lady, and I will show you the way." "Nash says. He takes my arm and guides me out the door.
"Hey! Paws off, buddy!" I say, snatching my arm out of his grasp.
"Ooh, she's feisty today." He says, smirking.
"Loose the smirk, amico." I say, getting annoyed at him already. We continue walking to God knows where.
"Okay, mom." He says sarcastically. I slap him in the arm. "Ouch, woman! No need to be physical." He smiles, then whispers,"There's plenty of time for that later." I slap him again, this time much harder.
"Non posso credere che hai appena detto che, porco-headed-!" I begin to rant. Nash interrupts me.
"You know, you're cute when you yell at me in Italian." He says, smiling. I blush. Just a little. But then it goes away.
"Don't call me cute. It's only been about 3 minutes and I'm already on the verge of wanting tocutting your balls off or something." He smirks.
"Good luck with that." I roll my eyes. We arrive at a small park that I've never been to before. Never even seen.
"So this is where we're going?" I ask, confused.
"Not exactly." Nash takes my arm again to lead me somewhere, but at this point I really don't care anymore. He takes me into a big cove of trees.
"And where exactly are you taking me?" I ask.
"You'll see." He says.
"Why are you being so mysterious?" I say.
"Sometimes girls find it sexy." He replies. I scoff. He laughs. "Just kidding. "You got to learn to lighten up, Siena." We arrive at a very large tree with a ladder nailed into it.. I look up and see and old tree house attached to the tree. "Let's go up. Ladies first." He says, motioning me towards the ladder. I climb up cautiously. It looks old, so I'm hoping it's still sturdy. As soon as I reach the top of the ladder, my breath is taken away. There's a small deck that wraps around the house, and you can see trees and sky for miles.
"Wow." I breathe. "It's beautiful."
"I know. I love it up here." Nash says, right behind me. "Let's go inside." I open the old door, which makes a loud creaking sound. Inside the tree house, it's full of old bookshelves with hundreds upon hundreds of books. There's couches and paintings and even a mini refrigerator. I laugh.
"So I'm guessing you installed that fridge up here?"
"Well, yeah. I mean, I would be come up here for hours, and I'd always get hungry and thirsty. It only made sense to get a fridge." He says defensively. I walk around and start looking at all the old books and paintings.
"It's so cool up here." I say. I shiver. "And cold."
"Oh. Here you go." Nash says, getting a blanket and handing it to me. I half-smile at him.
