The moment I finished my homework I immediately pulled out my laptop. I've been telling myself to finish Blue Exorcist. When I turned to my digital clock it said 10:17. I gaped at it for a moment then shook my head. Even if I have to pull an all-nighter, I have to finish this anime. I keep skipping it due to homework. By the time I am done, it's around six in the morning. I gave a little chuckle to myself as I stumbled to my bed and fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of the Tokyo Ghoul opening. My eyes wouldn't open fully as I got up to answer the call. I click the 'accept' button and brought the phone to my ears.
"Hello?" I whisper groggily into the phone. It's silent for a while.
"Hello?" I repeat. A gasp echoes from the other line.
"Sorry, I was just distracted for a second." Lucy. I felt a bit nervous about talking to her after the game started, but I let it pass.
"Hi, yeah, so what do you want?" Lucy gave a little snort.
"Could you be more blunt? Anyways, I want help with the science project." I nod as I sit up properly.
"And I am supposed to come to your house?"
"No, your supposed to come to my rocket ship." The sarcasm in her voice could not be more obvious.
"Could you be more sarcastic? I'll ask my mother." Lucy laughed a little. I furrowed my eyebrows
"What is it?" Lucy stops laughing and gives a small sigh.
"Why do you address everyone so formally?" I groan.
"Why does everyone ask me that? Is there a problem with being formal?" Lucy sighed.
"No, there is no problem. It's just that people of this generation are not that formal. It's hard to find someone that smart." I raised my eyebrows.
"You know you just complimented me with an insult." She laughs.
"I don't really get it, but ask your mom okay?" I nod.
"Yeah, sure." Lucy made a noise just as I was about to close the phone.
"I forgot to tell you, my parents aren't home." I nearly choke on my saliva.
"W-what?! You know, maybe I won't come." Lucy groaned.
"Ever since we started this game, you've been so reluctant. I'm not asking to have a make-out session with you. I wanna study." My cheeks are coated red when she finishes her sentence.
"F-fine! I'll go help you with your project. Can't I just help you over the phone?" I give it one last attempt. The slap she throws at her forehead is horribly clear.
"NO!!" And she hangs up with that. I gave a shaky sigh. My clock beeps and I jump. I find myself glaring at this digital clock. When I payed more attention I realized it was two in the after noon. Eight hours of sleep?! Thats the most I have gotten in my entire life. I gave a happy sigh and cover myself with the blankets. My phone suddenly starts buzzing again. I pick it up and see the following texts:
"Ask."
"Your."
"Mom."
"Now."
"Or."
"I'll."
"Kill."
"You."
Chuckles slip out of my mouth as I reply:
"O"
"K"
She replies:
"Good."
And she says I'm formal. I groan as I sit up. My mother is surely awake since it's two o'clock in the afternoon. I walk out of my room and downstairs, into the kitchen. My mother, obviously, is standing there cooking.
"Mother, you realize you will never achieve your goal of becoming a great cook?" She turns around slowly with a pout.
"Mean and formal, just who's genes do you have?" I chuckle.
"My own. But, mother, is it okay if I go help a friend with her project? She called me this morning and I-" I was cut off by my mom putting her hands on my shoulders.
"'Her?'" Her eyes looked crazy. I give a small nod.
"Yes, her..." She lets go of me and starts jumping.
"Yay! My son has a crush! His first crush! How cute is this?! I don't care that your getting your first crush at 15, this is great!" I blinked at her.
"Mother, I do not have a crush on Lucy. I do not know what love is, remember?" My mother grinned.
"Oh, but you will. Go to this girls house. Marry her. Have 18 kids for me, okay?" My face went red.
"Mother, I am fifteen!" She grins.
"I know, now, go! Blossom the cherries of love!" I turn away from my embarrassing mother who seems to imagine her self surrounded by cherry blossoms like in anime. I roll my eyes and smile a little. Humming, I walk up to my room. Dressing up in whatever I find in my closet I also pull out my science textbook. I'm about to head out when I remember I forgot my phone. I walk over to my bedside table and my phone is buzzing like crazy:
"DID YOUR MOM SAY OKAY?!"
"ARE YOU COMING OR NOT?!"
"WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"THIS IS A SERIOUS PROJECT!"
"Forget it, I hate you."
I laugh and open the phone app. I don't even have to scroll through my contacts because I only have three. My mom, dad, and Lucy. I call her and she immediately answers.
"You soN OF A BITCH! WHERE ARE YOU?!" My ear drums nearly burst. I shushed her.
"Don't shout for God's sake! I'm coming." She sighs in relief.
"Good. Bye." I stare blankly at the phone after she hangs up. Aren't 'good' and 'bye' supposed to be one word? I shrug as I leave my room and soon, the house. After around ten minutes, I'm standing at Lucy's house. I walk to the door and am about to ring the door bell when the door suddenly flies open. I get so surprised, I fall forwards. My eyes are closed for a minute, but when I opened them I wish I hadn't. Under me lay a red-faced Lucy, my hands groping her. I immediately pull my hands away which lead in my face falling into her breasts. She groans and slaps me hard.
"That hurt, you asshole!" She pushed me off and straightened herself. I sat on the floor, very red-faced myself. I was looking down.
"I am horribly sorry." She clears her throat.
"Don't worry about it." She closes the door and I clear my throat too.
"So, where is your project?" And then I hear her say, in the happiest voice ever:
"Oh, I finished it. I said that to trick you into coming here." My head went up at full speed.
"Excuse me?" She tricked me?!
