They both woke up around 11am, tangled in the blankets.

melanies pillow was mascara stained from the night before, when they were awake mel stayed silent and just pulled geri into her.

'i love you halliwell, happy birthday.'

geri was still half asleep but melanie seen a smile appear on the older womans face, she raised her head to make eye contact with mel.

'i love you too'

mel felt herself blush at the sincerity of the words geri just spoke.

the rest of the girls were coming round today to celebrate geris birthday. the two women stayed in bed for a little while longer chatting then soon decided it was time to get ready.

geri put on a cropped latex shirt with flares and platform boots whilst mel sported a bra with a jacket over, jeans and heels. pretty much their usual outfits, geri never let her insecurities damage both her style and mental health.

geri was in the bathroom fixing her hair, mel didnt want a repeat of the other day so she stood in the doorway, the ginger flicked her head around and snuck mel a wink. melanie has tried to contain her feelings for so long but this was her last straw. she walked towards geri until she was pushed up against the cabinet, as she lifted geri up their lips crashed together.

this was the moment they have both been wantin- no. needing, since they first met.

during this kiss, time didnt exist. they were the only two people in the room, well they thought they were.

'woo woooo' the familiar scouse accent filled the room

they removed themselves from the kiss and turned around, it was all the girls.

mel, emma and vic. mel c always thought there was something going on between them two, emma was pretty clueless and already thought they were a couple and vic didnt even know what day it was.

mel lifted geri off the counter and followed the girls into the living room. geri made herself comfortable on mels lap whilst she got handed gifts from all directions.

mel c went to give geri her gift but as geri reached for it, the scouser retracted her arm and said

'before you get this ginge, whats going on with you and melanie.'

geri laughed with an anxious tone because she didnt even know the answer, it was one kiss, but she did have feelings for mel b. did mel b feel the same or was she just playing with her mind?

'now melanie, what kind of question is that, shes keeping me distracted.'

thats all the detail she was ready to give, mel b could sense how nervous geri was getting because she could feel her fingertips playing with her curly hair.

'you know how much ginge goes on and on, that kiss was the longest shes been quiet.'

mel lifted the mood with comedy, as she often does. geri burst out laughing, this time with genuine laughter.

'well if that was the reason i might never shutup'

geri spoke these words as she began to straddle mel. mel b just let out a laugh and then they started making out right there, on the couch, infront of everyone.

'all right all right get a room you two' emma spoke quietly

they broke the kiss and mel c finally passed geri her gift. it was a perfume. mel c and geri exchanged a knowing look, leaving everyone else in utter confusion. geri leapt off mel b's lap to go give mel c a hug.

'oi ginge we've been together ten minutes and you're already fucking me off.'

there was something special about this perfume but nobody quite knew. geri opened it up and told melanie b to smell it, she realised its the perfume that she always used to wear when she first met geri.

'it reminds me of you, ive wanted it for years but havent been able to find it.'

mel c scoffed at this interaction.

'whats that about then sporty.'

'mel how didnt you know she fancied you, this girl eyes you up all the time and is nearly crying because a perfume smells like you, same for you ginge, shes clearly in love with you. glad youse have figured that out.'

later on they popped open a champagne vic brought and had a few glasses, geri decided that wasnt strong enough.
