Feeding the Ducks

Sasuke's POV

"Mommy!" I exclaim, "look! It's Naruto!" I giggle. Naruto Uzumaki- Namikaze, my best friend, is running toward me. Before she can protest, I let go of my mommy's hand, running towards him, his parents walking behind him. As I reach naruto I grab him, pulling him into a tight hug. He hugs me back.

"Awww that's so cute, look at them," Naruto's mommy says, and I blush and quickly let go, Naruto doing the same. "hey!" Naruto yelps. Were not adorable! We're big boys and we strike fear in the hearts of our enemies! Isn't that right, daddy?!" Naruto yells, glancing at his daddy, Minato. I call him Mr. Namikaze because my mommy says that respectful. But he told me I could call him Minato, so I do that when mommy isn't around.

Kushina, Naruto's mommy, has a skeptical look on her face as she looks at Minato, who wouldn't meet her eyes. "Minato, what does Naruto mean by that?" she asks, and Minato nervously looked up. "I may have let him stay up and watch a movie with me last night.... and uh I told him when he was a big boy he would strike fear in the hearts of his enemies." Kushina glared at him.

"Sorry!" Minato yelped, dodging his wife's fist. Naruto giggled.

I smiled at that. Minato is funny. I like him. He and my daddy get along really well. So do Kushina and my mommy.

I grabbed Naruto's wrist, dragging him towards the lake. "Naruto and me are going to the water, mommy!" I yell back at her, who is laughing at Minato and Kushina.

"Okay!" she shouts back. "be home by 6 for dinner, okay!?"

"Okay, mommy!" I yell back, smiling at Naruto as I pull him towards the lake. He giggles and looks up at me. "Sasuke, what are we gonna do at the lake?" he asks, still grinning. I let go of his wrist and pulled some pieces of bread out of my pocket. "we're gonna feed the ducks, dobe," I reply, grinning as his eyes lit up. I know Naruto loves feeding the ducks.

I broke the bread into small pieces, handing half of it to Naruto. He smiled and went up to the edge of the lake. A duck immediately swam up and naruto fed her the bread. I look at him in amazement. Naruto has this effect on animals. They just don't seem to be afraid of him. I smile, walking towards them. I try feeding the duck a piece of bread, but she got scared and swam off.

'Does she not like me?' I wonder as I pout, and tears well up in my eyes. Why did she swim away? Am I a bad person? Suddenly I feel a pair of arms around me. It's Naruto. "Why are you crying, teme?" he asks, looking up at me with sad eyes. I sniff. "The duck swam away. It doesn't like me," I reply, still upset.

Naruto just looks at me with a confused face. "Why do you think that?" he says. "It likes you, you just scared it away! I'll show you how to get them to stay!" he exclaims, and my face lights up. "really?" I ask. He nods. "really."

I smile. "Thanks, Naruto!"

He puts a piece of bread into my hand and tells me to copy him. He extended his hand out, and a duck came close. I eagerly stretched my hand forward, but Naruto grabbed my arm and held me back. "wait," he whispers, eyes locked onto the duck. "let them come to you."

I look at him, confused. Then I look back at the lake and gasp. There's a duck! I smile and trying not to scare it off, and I feed her the piece of bread in my hand. I look up and see Naruto looking at me with a smile on his face. "there, you see? You did it!" he says, and I grin. "yeah I did, hehe!" I reply, feeling proud of myself.

Then I see naruto get a mischievous look on his face, his whiskers curving upwards. I tilt my head, confused. What is he planning? Suddenly, I feel two hands on my back, pushing me into the water. When I surface, I look up and see a grinning Naruto standing above me. I'm soaked, and he's gonna pay for it. "dobe!!" I yell. "What did ya do that for!?" I reach up and grab his arms, pulling him in after me. He surfaces, grinning like an idiot. He's completely soaked!

He splashes me, still smiling. "haha teme, you look so dumb!" he yells at me. "I'm not the only one that looks dumb, dobe!" I shout back, jumping on him. We wrestle in the shallow water, I'm winning, when all of a sudden I feel someone grab me from behind. I look below me, naruto's gone, too. I was set down and I look up to see my older brother Itachi.

I look around for Naruto and see him standing behind me, beside Itachi's friend, Deidara. Although, I think they're more than friends because I saw them kissing one time in Itachi's room, and he gave me a chocolate bar not to tell daddy. I'm not sure what's so wrong with him kissing Deidara, but I like chocolate, so I never told daddy.

"Naruto! Sasuke!" Itachi shouts. "Do you have any idea what time it is!? Everyone is worried about you, it's 6:30 and dinner is getting cold!"

Oh, no! I forgot we had to be home in time for dinner!

"I'm sorry," Naruto and I say at the same time. Itachi sighed. "it's ok, Sasuke. just make sure you do better next time, okay?" he says, walking over to Deidara.

I look over at Naruto, who looks really funny because he's soaking wet. "Race ya home!" I say, running past him, getting a head start. I'm definitely gonna beat him. "hey!" I hear him yell, and then footsteps behind me.

When we reach my house, mommy tells us to go wash up and change out of our wet clothes. I gave Naruto some of mine because he didn't bring any with him. Wich was silly of him, considering he's staying the night. Sometimes naruto confuses me. I guess I'm also going to have to give him some of my pajamas.

Naruto and I walk down the stairs to the kitchen. Minato and Kushina are already sitting at the table, they're gonna leave after dinner. Naruto and I sat down next to each other, and I started to kick his foot under the table. He got an odd look on his face and started kicking back. We were having a full-on foot wrestle while trying to keep straight faces and not make our parents suspicious. It was funny, I almost couldn't stop myself from laughing.

Naruto's parents left, and I dragged naruto upstairs to my room. Mommy said to change into pajamas, so we did. I wore my favorite Uchiha patterned ones, and I gave naruto some orange p.js with a fox on the front. I bought them last month, thinking he would like them and he could use them whenever he came over.

My mommy and daddy came into my room to say goodnight, and I climbed in bed beside Naruto, who always insisted we sleep in the same bed because it was warmer that way. Itachi called it gay, but I don't actually know what "gay" is, exactly. Naruto snuggled up into me, and I smiled, pulling him closer. I loved Naruto's hair, it was so fluffy. He fell asleep, I could hear his light snores, and I followed suit shortly after, falling asleep next to my dobe.
