Prologue

Hogwarts
Amara's sixth year

A cold breeze fell upon Amara's body as she walked inside into the castle.

She had a stressful evening due to both of her parents sending her countless of letters telling her of their expectations for her to uphold due to their pure bloodline.

As her thoughts began to wander they quickly disappear once seeing the only thing that made her happy.Theseus Scamander.

Oh how she loved him with all her heart.She felt happiness and herself when she was with him.Everything disappears once she was with him.They've been dating for one year already and it was the happiest moments of her life.

"I need to talk to you"Theseus says while looking guilty and not meeting her eyes.

"Should I be worried?"Amara asks jokingly due to Theseus behavior.

They both walk hand in hand to a empty classroom."I just want to start off by saying I love you, with all of my heart" Theseus says finally meeting her eyes.

"I love you too....what happened?, why are you acting strange?"Amara asks feeling something in her chest built up knowing something was going to go wrong.

"We....we can't be together anymore"Theseus says.As those words leave his mouth her face completely falls.The room is silent that Amara swore that she felt her heart break into two.

"What do you mean?..Did I do something wrong?, I thought everything was perfect?" Amara says quickly while tears started falling down her face.She quickly let's go but Theseus grabs her hands.

"I'm sorry I didn't have a choice but-" Theseus says but he gets cut off by Amara."But what?!" Amara says while still trying to process everything that was going on.

"But I can't be associated with the Black family name.You know my dream of being an auror and I spoke to some people and they said that I can't be associated with anyone with a bad reputation or else they won't take me for the job."Theseus says quickly while looking guilty.The love he had for the girl was strong, and he felt his heart fall into pieces due to making this decision.

"I thought you loved me?!, I thought we were going to run away together...I thought I was going to finally be free from my parents"Amara says while looking at him in disbelief.She felt heartbroken.

"I'll still help you-"Theseus starts saying but gets cut off."No...All my life I've been judged based on my last name, and when you came into my life not caring about my last name I was happy.You were the only good thing about my life"Amara says while backing away from him.

"Amara please..I hope you understand....it was a hard decision for me to and I hate to do this"Theseus says but Amara shakes her head and walks out of the door.Theseus watches the young girl walk out in tears.He quickly wipes his own tears away that managed to escape out of his eyes.

Amara sat late at night after curfew in the astronomy tower looking up at the sky with tears in her eyes.

She starts to think how life is going to be different without Theseus.The only good thing in her life was gone and she felt lost and scared.

Scared of how she was going to cope with everything her parents are going to put her through.Lost because what was her guided light in this world full of darkness was gone.

All her life she was judged by her last name.Black.

Oh how she wished she was someone else with a different life.

I guess she's going to go back to the little girl who always wanted to seek her parents approval.
